I'm fascinated by the innovative designs featured in this list. It's impressive to see how these luxury items push the boundaries of creativity.
I’m in Sarasota, Florida and love watching your channel. From Hamilton originally. Keep up the great work Sir!
The mall even got even more fancier
Good day/evening, Johnny Strides! Thanks so much for taking us on a walk-through the Yorkdale mall! Lots of sights to see for sure but the mall management must not be in that festive mood since it is not glittering with christmas deco's in the hallways! You were looking for Santa & here I thought you wanted to go & sit on his lap....think you are a kid at heart which is what makes you looking so young in your forties. Johnny Strides! Keep up with your great videos! Cheers & stay safe & warm!🥰🥰🦅🦅
Nice tour around Yorkdale Shopping Centre Johnny
My first time to Yorkdale was in 1980, and at that time I recognized most of the store names and was able to afford to shop there. Nowadays, I stick with Walmart and Giant Tiger when I visit Canada! 😁
Man haven't been here in forever
Happy Holidays 🌲 Johnny your videos are always the best stay safe out there my friend 😊
Oh wow they really vamped up the mall even more 💯
Great memories of yorkdale mall, it's been a minute a lot of changes.
nice thanks
good morning everyone
I Subscribed to your KZread channel my dear friend. It has been awhile since I visited Yorkdale mall. Keep on rocking and wishing you happy holidays 🇨🇦❤️❤️❤️👍👍🥰
Nice tour of the mall. Some expensive stores here.
thank you johnny for that video i love it show more ❤
Nice tour around Yorkdale Centre shopping mall Johnny! It’s one of my favourite malls!! Happy early holidays!
Yorkdale mall Wow I've walked that platform for the last 30 years. Jeez
That Cartier store was the scene of a robbery mid-December. Extra security added in case for retail theft. The old food Yorkdale food court was on that second floor before Holt Renfrew expanded the store to 2 stories.
So beautiful and very nice ❤walking mull😂😂😊
Wow Yorkdale subway needs a power wash.
I remember as a teenager living in Brampton and Yorkdale mall was just a stop on my way downtown to Toronto and the Eaton center. Wow things have changed. Thanks for the memories Johnny.
My house is in Winnipeg and I went to a concert recently and I visited Yorkdale my gosh so many beautiful stuff. Toronto people is very friendly for living in a big city. Winnipegers are more rude.
Good.morning.johnny
Good morning
Wow there is a real Dyson store near you 😍.
Oi dude thanks for this video care yourself
Thanks for the history lesson I didn't know that yorkdale n square one were run by the same company they both are designed alike too

Same with Scarborough Town Centre in Scarborough and Hillcrest Mall in Richmond Hill. Both malls also owned by Oxford.
I was there today on Saturday but didn't see Johnny

I was there on Sunday and I didn't see him
You were asking what's happening in the part of the mall with "new retailers coming soon" -- that's a new luxury wing being developed by Oxford Properties. New brands include Brunello Cucinelli and Loewe (as you can see in the video), and several other major brands are coming including Dior and Gucci.
Nice mall
It's been over about 6 years since I last went to Yorkdale mall and the 1st thing I noticed the convenience store the 1st store when you you enter the mall is now replace with a cell phone store
The central corridor that you walked down is part of a $28 million to transform its central corridor into a space for more luxury brands. No announcements have been made on tenants yet.
Was the joke store you're talking about called "The It Store?" We had one for years at the O.C. (Oshawa Centre). It was a fun store, lots of gags and games there.
Back in the day No reservation for Santa and we alway's got a decent picture in any mall That didnot cost a fortune every Christmas😢❤
One day You shall visit Banff Alberta
What will replace the Nordstrom space? Does Yorkdale have plans ?
Yorkdale definitely has that premium feel to it. Although realistically it's designed for high middle class or up, people from all walks of life do their shopping their as it is roughly in the center of GTA area.
The new burger joint on the food court is ok. Had it last night.
I see a lot of people walking around but the stores are all empty it seems. Although the food court was busy 🤔
My theory for why Yorkdale had no holiday decor: they spent that budget on increased security by paying for actual police officers. They also might have lost significant revenue because of shoplifting. Just a thought!
Surprisingly I don't care not to spend money at Yorkdale Just buy it it's Yorkdale. I was pissed during COVID when everyone had to stand in lines just to buy a shirt But Yorkdale YOU SHOP! I never hesitated to spend money. I always felt that I deserved it I worked hard you know? 🤔
The food court got a little pricey. Only once in a while
Well just hit timmies before we step into that makk anyway haha
Vloggers should post interac email since no social media providers fees
it seems that sometimes the action 3 is having some trouble focusing compared to the action 2 and it looks like the action 2 had more detaild and sharper image am i right?
This mall would have more shopper's.If they DIDNOT remove the ESCALATOR It has been about 5 years? While we are still climbing stair's with loaded shopping cart's We have to lift (heavy) or bag's both UP and DOWN the STAIR'S Is the elevator you 1/2 Installed 4 or 5 years ago ACCESSABLE?
Boo on Yorkdale … thumbs down for its lack of holiday spirit. Square One and Sherway are far more festive.
@johnny strides I think you and i are contemporaries because I remember that joke store. I think it was called the "IT store." I do not know if you remember also the restaurants and the arcades in the second level too. I also missed the music stores, I would go to them when a new album came out and get it there first. I do not live in Toronto anymore, in many ways the city has changed too much for not good reasons, so I do not think i miss it too much. This mall to be honest has become too bougie for me. Too many high end stores that for me are not what I need but I get it they want to get a certain kind of clientele that will spend big bucks. You should do walks in other cities like Montreal or London or Kitchener-Waterloo or Ottawa-Gatineau. Just ideas.
I hope the mall hired the cops privately and paid for them out of pocket
I wonder if that tall girl shop is still there?
That's so weird, where are all the people?
This mall is not for people making under 100k. Yes, there are some stores that are “budget friendly” but anyone making less than 100k a years can’t afford things at the more luxury stores. It is what it is. 🤷🏽♀️

Facts 💯 back in the days in the late 90s early 2000s when I use to go there I had no worries if I wanted to buy something at yorkdale

Trust me. People making under 100K will still shop there. They are the target customers of Gucci, LVMH and Cartier because people with that income will still show off as richer than they really are.

And to be honest for an expensive city like Toronto even 100k gross is not enough. I think now 200k gross to be able to live ok and support a family like people used to do back in the 80s and 90s. This cost of living is crazy.
2023: Soulless and bland ... 2044: Wow, everything was great in the old days! Look at the bright colours and the people interacting!!! Everyone had jobs and no one was dying of opioids unlike today.
Thank you Johnny. The Christmas stuff is almost non existent in Yorkdale Mall and it is very disappointing from this point of view. Maybe because there are very little Europeans visiting it but many others like Christmas too despite the fact they do not celebrate it. I would not shop there for Christmas.
Johnny, when are you going to go to Kringlewood? Ken’s already gone there!
im surprised u get away with video recording in these places...like the mall...usually they get triggered over a camera and want to trespass people. I dunno their policies on video recording.
thank you johnny for that video i love it show more ❤
