Yokohama Geolandar X-AT - Snow Mud and Rain

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Nitto tires have always been the only tires with mixed reviews. Typically about any A/T or M/T tire you find will have positive reviews. The Nittos were on their own. Well, then came the Yokohama Geolandar X-AT. It has been getting mixed reviews across the internet. I'm going to try and find out what's up.

I find the Yoko X-At slightly quieter and slightly better off road vs the Nitto Ridge grapplers I replaced. They clean out better once you start flinging the mud. Wet they are ok, Ridge grapplers were slightly better. These are my 2 favorite tires in this class. Thanks for the review and taking the truck out in the mud.

Thanks for posting this video of your feedback. I haven’t seen the same negative reviews you spoke of, but look hard enough and you’ll find someone disappointed in anything.

Great review. I like that you actually put them through some mud.

Thank you for videos, this tyre i found in shop and find video on your chanel like on other tyres so this will be my final choice on L200 truck. So I'll refer after how they worked here in mountain forests of Czech Republic.

I went to the Geolandar AT from Goodrich Long Trails and they are much better in the snow and I like the big sidewalls.

The mild looking Yokohama GO15 is brilliant in rain and snow and even moderate mid thats so surprising, the X-AT is actually far better than other aggressive ATs in terms of noise, life and performance on wet or rocks.

I absolutely thrashed my g015 set in all kinds of conditions and they were very sneaky about being very, very good for the money. They had a loud drone at 65 but I only drive 65 for 2 seconds speeding up or slowing down. I still have 2, I might put them on the back axle for the winter.

I think these will be good in Arizona but now I almost want to get MT tires for the 4runner.

these are not really designed for snow are they? they don't have the severe snow service or three peak mountain snowflake rating...

How noisy are these tires compared to the BFGs looking for a 60% high way 30% fun/adventure tire.

They hum slightly more than the KO2 tires from BFG, but, they also provide much better traction. So it's a trade-off in my experience.

I don't know if you were letting off the gas or traction control was, but if you just kept up the gas it would've made the hill like you said.

I know, right. He seemed to have gone super easy on the gas. I get the initial "let's see how they do" kinda thing, but when things get that muddy, you gotta give it some gas lol

You should try Pirelli Scorpion, I think they are much nicer for winter weather and also very good for mood.

I had a set of Pirelli Scorpions on a Ford pickup once and they were the worst tires I've ever owned in my life. Couldn't balance them, more road noise, and didn't last long at all. Maybe I just had a bad set, but those were bad enough to set me against Pirelli forever.

All depends on what people expect. Drive 75 mph and hit an inch of water? You're going to hydroplane. Drive soberly maybe 45 mph or less in heavy downpours and it should be alright.

I found the K02s to be very slick on slush and ice. They are great in snow but not great on icy roads they slide everywhere. I prefer the Falken Wildpeak.
