Hi Dr. Olsen, I sit in this 10:27 position all day on a chair and I have hypertonic pelvic floors. Is it possible that this position might be making my hypertonic pelvic floor symptoms worse?

Wow! That was a hard one. Just being on the thin mat is hard enough, I feel my achy bones. I usually use a thicker mat & thin on top for regular arthritis exercises. I have arthritis in my right hip & knees. So I'm taking it slow, but I was able to do most of it 😊

Love this video, really helpful. Quick question: for the cat and cow exercise, am I correct in that we should breath in for the cat, and exhale for the cow pose? Just wanted to make sure I'm doing it right

Great question! You can try both ways and see which way you feel the connection with pelvic floor better. The key is inhaling feeling lengthening of pelvic floor and exhaling feeling gentle lifting.

Hello. I think this question was answered but somehow it disappeared. Are low impact aerobics safe for pelvic floor. Specifically knees raises from a standing position and also punches, standing with legs apart. Thank you

It's all about how the exercises are done, how you are using your core & pelvic floor, and what you are feeling. This is where breathing and posture are key to help with managing intra-abdominal pressure. These exercises can be done with low impact on the pelvic floor as long as the core system is being used optimally💕

Hi Dr. I was doing your videos for my pelvic floor because I believe I have the start of prolapse bladder. On April 20th I rolled my ankle and broke it in 3 places and dislocated my shin. 13 screws and a plate in my foot later…. Lol So now due to that and the pain meds I was on that caused constipation, off those thankfully, my bladder leaks a bit more. Are there any breathing exercises I can do for now that will help me? I can very carefully get on and off the floor if need be. Any advice will help. Thank you for all you do for us with prolapsed bladders. ❤

There is a connection between our feet and pelvic floor too! Breathing can be super helpful. We do have a video on our channel for breathing that you can do sitting or laying down in bed. kzread.info/dash/bejne/immOpamyfKngnbQ.html Keep up the great work & well wishes with your ankle recovery! Once you're cleared from your doctor we have lots of videos on feet too!

Hi Dr.Melissa. thank u for ur helpful videos. I have a question. is it possible to recover from pelvic floor issues naturally? if I do nofap, if lie down in my bed for 1-2 months, can I get better? I am at the 14th day right now. my symptoms are mild compared to other people. I can urinate, I can have erections, I can poop. but sometimes I have this tingly feeling in my testicles, and sometimes I have involuntary contractions. especially during masturbation, I can't control some of my muscles very well, so I started nofap so it can rest. I am planning to do ur exercises but I am afraid of hurting natural rest. in sport injuries, before starting exercises, it is advised to rest. when should I start these exercises? after 30 day mark? or now? also is it possible that I have pudental nerve? I don't have immense pain and I have heard that pudental nerve is very painful. but still I wanted to be sure that it is not pudental nerve. thank u.
