Yoga For OCD - 30 Minute Yoga Practice For OCD & Anxiety To Help Quiet The Mind

Yoga for OCD! As someone who has had OCD for many years, I understand how challenging it can be. The combination of yoga, meditation, and therapy has really helped me on my own healing journey and has helped me significantly improve my mental health. I've created this 30 minute yoga practice for OCD and anxiety to help you to connect with your body and quiet your mind. This yoga class is designed for all level yoga practitioners. This practice is not about making these postures perfect, it's about keeping your mind connected to your body and keeping your focus in the present moment. In this yoga flow, we'll strengthen and stretch our muscles and there will also be savasana at the end. For anyone who thinks that they can't meditate with obsessive-compulsive disorder or intrusive thoughts, please give this savasana a try. I used to think that as well but you CAN meditate with OCD and it can actually really help you. It's helped me so much. I hope you find this practice helpful along your own healing journey. Namaste.

Thank you so much for this video. I was stuck in an obsessive thought loop and couldn’t find any peace, this finally got me to calm down enough to think more rationally. The balance poses and shavasana was so helpful especially ❤ thank you for using your own experience to help others, you are making a difference ❤

@@naturemirror93 I'm sorry to hear you are suffering from OCD. From my experience, meditation and yoga in addition to therapy has not completely gotten rid of my OCD but it has helped to significantly improve my OCD symptoms. Hope this helps!

Also thanks for keeping your channel simple! I didnt notice the music playing which is a good thing! When i exercise or meditate i dont like to hear anything except the natural sounds around me! i dont like to rely on external distractions like music or sound effects or even tv! Like a lot of people do! Which defeats the purpose of doing these things! And can do them with out a crutch so ta speak! Then i'm more in tune and focused in! I hope all this again makes any sense!

No problem I like to keep the music pretty quiet in my practices. Thats amazing that you can meditate without music that can be challenging! I usually listen to music when im inside but when im outdoors i do like to listen to the natural sounds. Next goal for me is silence while meditating indoors! Thanks for watching 😊

Sometimes its nice even when my ocd is bad i'll go screw that! I'm not doing that! Its not that important! And it seems like thiers a buffer between it! And your able to let it go! Luckily mine isn't that bad! Where i can just let it go! I think for some it becomes more of a habit! If that makes sense! But when its bad its awful! And have to give into it! sometimes its more seasonal! Its a very complicated thing! Thanks for posting these videos! Its a good reminder to keep busy! Also luckily one the ocd things i have, is common sense smart ocd! Is what i call it! Like cleaning stuff that i buy! Like stuff from the grocery store! Something I've been doing for years! And its not an obsessive thing either which is good!
