YETI Presents | Malik

Ойын-сауық

You can’t take great climbing photos from the ground. The hand reaching out to help Malik get up on the wall, and later out of South Memphis and into the mountains, was that of legendary alpinist Conrad Anker.

This is a PURE story of sharing. I love the fact that instead of exploitation he was invited to the group of influence!!!

This friendship and camaraderie touched my soul. I have family just near Memphis in Jackson. Not many black young people get to experience the wonders of the world. I love to see real people take an interest in the lives of human beings, no matter their differences. Thank you!

I started skating and surfing at 14, only black Caribbean kid in Venice Beach. Jumped off a bridge, out of a plane and paraglide with a group of strangers that I never thought would accept me. This speaks to me on a uniquely wonderful way. Thank you Yeti

So proud of you Fam! It's so easy to move away and forget about whatever we came from. You stayed and shed light and grew. Be that dad to the fatherless and mentor as he has to you. I can't wait to see your next project.

That was nice. As a Memphis kid myself I can tell you that Memphis has a lot of stories to tell and not all of them are negative. The city has been good to me.
