YETI Presents | Grandpa Gordon

Gordon Eastman made a name for himself the hard way, scratching it out of the mountains while exploring, hunting, surviving, and ultimately filming the wild north. Fifty years later, Guy is retracing his Grandpa Gordon’s steps in the same mountains in pursuit of a Dall sheep. He’s driven by the Eastman spirit still alive in those mountains and pulled every step of the way by the will to live up to his grandfather’s legacy.

Renting his videos when i was a kid and istening to Gordon's voice, watching them over and over was the best baby sitter I ever had. Love those old VHS tapes. Gordon Eastman, outdoor legend!

I also grew up renting the VHS tapes. Can’t imagine how many times I watched the Phantom Ram. This short video brings back some early memories

Gordan Eastman's filming romanced the northwest territory in a way that all outdoor enthusiasts yearn for an experience to appreciate Gods creation and bounty. A view through his camera lenses built the apex of outdoor film. I cant imagine the beauty he experienced or the toughness it took to live his life of being an adventurer.

Mike helped me with some questions on antelope hunting before his book on the subject came out, then followed up with me afterwards. I used his help and the book to plan and execute a once in a lifetime “antelope safari” with my father. We had a great hunt, took two wonderful pronghorn bucks, and Mike even used one of my photos in a testimonial for his book in Eastmans’ Holiday Gift Guide that year. I’ll never forget his generosity with his advice, and the memories it helped me make with my father. That hunt ended up being my last antelope hunt with my dad, who died four years later. I feel indebited to the Eastman family, and though I never met Gordon, his and their story in this film brought a flood of emotions back about that hunt with my father now thirteen years ago. Thanks Mike, and everyone at Eastmans, and Yeti for this film!

Since I was old enough to understand my pops always spoke of Gordon Eastman and Stan Burrell. Mr. Eastman and Mr. Burrell are absolute LEGENDS..... I wish they would show these types of films in public schools today to keep the Outdoor Culture alive...

Very nice film. It helps answer the question that all hunters get asked every year. WHY DO WE HUNT. This says it all. It's not for the money it's because we care.
