First Lite Presents "Land of Legend" | A Stone Sheep Hunting Adventure
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Chasing Stone Sheep is a wild dream for most mountain hunters. Our new film follows two friends on a grueling adventure into the alpine of British Columbia. Chris and Devon battle weather, bugs, and steep climbs chasing these near-mythical creatures in the same country that grew the famous Chadwick Ram, the largest Stone sheep ever killed. Follow along as the two hunters search for a ram that stacks up to the “Land of Legend."
"Land of Legend" was filmed, produced, and edited by Fargone Media.

Whoever edited this, needs a raise. Whoever had the idea to do this style of video, needs a raise. This is literally the coolest hunting video. I’ve. Ever. Seen. EVER.

Fargone media, look them up!
Forty-five years ago this month I made a BC backpack sheep hunt and it brings me a lot of joy knowing that people still have that opportunity. This video with its 'old school' narration is really special to me. Thanks for a great video and bringing back wonderful memories!

Hey John. Did you end up having any luck yourself, on your adventure ?

@@mattc7988 Yes Matt, I shot a 36" Stone at less than 10 yards, then beat feet back to AK for my last Dall hunt that ended in my oldest ram at less than 50 yards. Wish I could have relived both with a bow in hand! Got a Bighorn in '87, but have never drawn a Desert tag, though I'm still trying. Nothing like sheep and goat for true adventure, but my time has passed...almost...maybe:-).

This might be my favorite hunting film I’ve seen.
Captured by the ultra talented Nic T of Fargone Media! What a film!
Like an old Fred Bear movie. Well done.
Enjoyed the film, really like the old school western/hunting film vibe
Great Job boys, and Fargone Media, all apart of the game. You'll find em
Loved the style of this hunting film!!! So refreshingly different.
The Dick Proenneke references and the Wes Anderson-esque type setting and use of that yellow color... WOW! Fantastically made this.

Hell yeah. Been waiting on more content from Far Gone. Well done boys. The filming and editing is several cuts above the regular KZread hunting content. Can't wait to see the next one!
Sweet old style video.
Love the the narration!! Amazing country! What a hunt!
A Dick Proenneke vibe for sure
Incredible film. Love the old school narration. Fargone always kills it behind the lens.

Felt like I was watching a GREAT documentary from the 80's. Giving off nostalgic vibes.
Great content!!
If Tarantino made a hunting video, this would be it, this is art!
Great videography and style. Cool story.
I would watch this all day man what a nice video
good job and hard work - you don't always get one but you will still have the memories as i do
love the old stile filming narative, love seeing true reprasentaion of my back yard here in northern BC!
Now that I'm in my mid-thirties, I have my sights set on a new horizon: to talk like this narrator at storytime with my kids
Love the movie style!!!
That country is unbelievable beautiful nature
Awesome video Thank you for sharing
What and awesome film. I loved the narration and old school vibe.
The narrator, Joe Geoffrey, you gotta love his voice!! Takes me back to watching hunting shows years ago, great job. Maybe when I get 37K subs I can do that....lol.
Thanks for taking us along on a grand hunt in amazing country. What a pleasant surprise when I realized I'd been afield on California Bighorn counts with Chris for sure and perhaps Devon as well on one? Greetings from the little old guy with the cowboy mustache. Hope to see you on the next count and thanks again.
What a masterpiece!
Awesome film!! Like the old western style to it! Beautiful country to experience for sure!
Man, what an incredibly made film
This is absolutely amazing!!! GREAT film!
Excellent video that really shows what stone sheep hunting is all about!
Love this guys!!
Great video 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
That editing and narrating was awesome. I almost thought I was going to see Robert Redfords name come across the screen at any minute.
AWESOME video. I feel like im watching an old warren miller ski video This is fantastic!
Great film and narrated beautifully!
Now this was a piece of art. Loved watching even if they didn’t get the kill
1998 stone hunt out of Smithers BC. Horses made the trip possible. Decent dark ram harvested. Dall sheep in 97 with number 3 a rocky from Montana. Hoping to draw that desert tag soon as l am 69 !
We neeeeeed more
Man Chris used the have a great podcast. Wish he'd bring it back.
Watching this gave me sheep fever so bad!! I loved the way this was put together. Thanks for sharing.
This was great! The cinematography and music were perfect
the production of this is hilarious and amazing
Good job
Great hunt!
Really enjoyed your content👍👍👍
A great video. Thanks for putting it together. Lots of familiar scenery - I hunted from that same lake a few years ago with success.
A cinematic experience!
The cinematography is so good
Great quality! That narrators voice is awesome, this video brings in a nostalgic feel! Great job keep up the good work!
Sweet 🤘
Excelente video, felicidades, me gusto mucho..
Look at the beauty of the land I would have liked to have been there with my 300 Weatherby.
Great edit, love the seek outside Cimarron that tent is badass! Amazing terrain !🏔
That was pretty darn goofy, but hell, I enjoyed it.
Damn. This was so well executed. Great job to everyone involved, absolute home run.
Bring more first lite content to KZread!
nice video guys! that hats looking pretty nice too. Maybe put it up on the store :)
I guess it doesn't matter what rifles calibers they are using, they didn't need them. I'm sure my 1960 German Weatherby 300 Magnum would have taken them out, if I could have found them. Those guys did a good job of putting a lot of effort into it. .
Great film! Very impressive they were able to get Sam Elliott to provide commentary.

This was a lot of fun. Love the edit!
Wonderfully made video, the grade and editing was A+ and the style with the narration was spot on, please hire these filmmakers again to create more videos for you!
More videos in this style please!!!
Been there, done that. And what's more Canadian than a de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver and Tim Hortons coffee?
A way bit overproduced but comforting in an old timey way.

Chadwick was “meat hunting” when he shot the ram not knowing it was a world record.
Where can I get the black first lite hat that he is wearing 😳
i just don't understand why that guy doesn't shave his face.
Who else felt like the edit was a Quentin Tarantino film? Hahaha
This was something out of the Guy Eastman days sort era. Loved the editing, need more of these types. But kill something next time.

Is there some rule that KZread hunters have to look like they haven’t shaved or bathed in three months?
I’m glad the title wasn’t Expensive camping trip or I might have saved myself 20 minutes.
I hope to hunt in Canada someday when they drop their insane vaccine rules
Pretty country and good hunting. Unfortunately, I think the editing was a bridge too far. It seemed too forced. I understand that you were going for a vintage look and feel, but it was a little too in your face and too serious at the same time. Kind of like if a Duluth Trading co commercial wanted you to take it seriously. Keep experimenting though. I like that you tried something new!
All filler, very little killer.
Why refer to grown up men as boys? What is up with this culture
Not digging the commentary. Seems like I’m watching a history channel episode of some sort. Let the footage and the hunters commentary speak for itself.
