Best solution is to make a separate save file for John and Arthur. It all goes downhill once you make it to Guarma. But a couple missions before that you can just make a save living in Shady Belle and ignoring everyone

So, if you have an un-patched version of the game (I have a PS/4 and have a physical copy, not updated so 1.0), You can replay the angelo bronte mission and be able to play in new austin as Aurther as long as you leave the PS/4 on. If this glitch works, and then the angelo bronte glitch works, could be quite entertaining.

This is pretty much just reloading an Arthur save with extra steps

Nice video :) Red Dead, story and online, became the only thing i can do in my little free time. To keep Arthur I just kept a save in chapter 2, right before him to get sick and developed a parallel story of Arthur, an Arthur that I maxed out, not caring of the story and that lives only taming horses, exploring the heartlands and the rest of the map that is unlocked in that chapter, doing some little crime here and there. To be honest it's pretty cool like that. It's like having 3 games, this Arthur by himself, the epilogue of the whole story with John and the online with my own character. I wish Rockstars would take more care of this masterpiece

This game really could use a New game plus button.

I just did this. It worked perfectly! I missed Arthur so much, it was so good to get him back! (Im one of those people who dont really like John much) Arthur has no money, food and just his basic clothes. No missions either, but great fun! Make sure to make a save first, so you can get back.

The best way to get Arthur back is restart the game but don’t complete any story missions. Only side missions.

This is great but IMO it'll under-emphasize Arthur's death. Missing playing as him is part of the experience

I finished the game 100% and with this glitch I spawned in as Arthur in all the chapters he’s in a saved them so if they do patch this glitch I’m still good

They should make an option to play as arthur imo

What’s the difference between this Endgame-Arthur and Chapter2/3 Arthur? You can’t go South with either Arthur but you can fast travel as Chapter2/3 Arthur, so just more weapons..? 🤨

So I did everything step by step and it worked. I went over to the Shady Belle camp and I saw that there were optional missions I could do for Micah and Charles. I did the one with Charles it was a mission called “High and Low Finance. When I completed it, the screen went black for a couple seconds and I was playing as John again.

Yep, tried this method before and it worked like a charm on my first try! 👍

I actually did something similiar to this maybe a year back, and I was line wtf why am I playing as Arthur, when the mission replay didn't work

If you start a side mission, fail it and selects 'exit mission' you will return to John.

This might be weird but, can you use this trick to get in an earlier part of the epilogue? So like, load an epilogue mission, then be at that point as john? Just wondering cause, this seemed to reset certain cool events for arthur that i’d like back for john too (bear in the cabin definitely was back once i did this trick to play arthur again lol)

Probably an accidental discovery. I'm guessing someone just cleared that gang mine as John and went to replay the mission while standing at that spot by chance and then discovered this bug

I think you just need to die before starting the mission as shown in the video, I discovered it when I went to guarma with john and to disable the sniper I repeated a mission but somehow I died and reappeared with arthur in guarma in the epilogue.

rockstar shouldve just made a dlc allowing you to switch between arthur and john after the epilogue. arthur is by far one of my favorite characters ever and his death hit hard as it did for many other people who enjoyed the game

In any other game yes.. but this game is so relaxing. The unpredictability. You just want to Savor the beauty that is rdr2. A good headset, with surround sound is a must! After a stressful day this game is the best remedy. Can gta do that.

It's not as fun riding a horse as it is to drive a car, seeing how long you can drive without crashing while also going as fast as you can. I don't get this obsession with "the beauty". Just go for a walk out in the country/woods lol, WAY more beautiful. I can't drive a car around town like a madman though, not legally or without putting mine and other lives at risk.

@jimmypeeps8471 I've seen that mod before. It's improved quite a bit since its release. Rdr2 is probably one of the best games released in terms of graphics. "The Beauty of the World" is probably the best way to put it. The game is fantastic looking, even after 5 years, but yeah, those cars be wild.

Ok so you CAN totally fast travel, ya just gotta buy the upgrade at camp again, which means grinding for some money, but it IS doable, you can even still use the stage coach and trains, altho with the stage coachs, game thinks the map isnt explored so, ya gotta go to each place theres a stage coach first, to use them, i imagine its same with traveling from horse or camp

Im in my second play through. Started 1 year ago. Im refusing to do the downes mission/tb bullshit. Its still pretty fun searching for content i never found the first time.

If yall want Arthur back so badly just go back to Chapter 2 and dont play any Story missons at least that is what I did.

Or chapter 3,4,6 hell even 5 or 1 if you want💀 doing this is literally pointless if you didn’t save the game pre epilogue and even then most people at least do before the final mission , also theres the problem with the pure emptiness of doing this, imagine this, no gang members, no ranch, no camp, basically no home and the worst thing is, it seems like the Arthur in the video is chapter six Arthur which makes doing this even more useless id rather start a new game completely than to be stuck with a character that gets his health drained to the limit every 3 seconds

@@Osobear14 I really dont reccomend doing it but yeah do exactly as he says and you will kinda have Arthur back but make sure you have an extra save with John before you do the glitch or you will be stuck with Arthur

I have found glitch that you can play arthur in all epilogue mission in the ending go back for the money you need to kill micah stabb him i think 87 stabs before he die when you do that replay the American venom mission cancel mission then you spawn arthur in getis ranch only works in 1.00 version well of you fucked up you need to do it again if American venom not work try another epilogue mission this is good you dont need mods when you play it only ps4-xbox

Do you have to finish the epilogue still or not to do this because when i tried it didnt wirk

Most surprising part is that the game doesn't crash.

You can do that without all that just go in the the chapters and click one thats it

You can return to john by doing a mission with lenny a robbery

I somehow time travelled on one of my safe files when i did the chapter 4 heist mission, my horse, weapons, and even my progress saved, i even had cheats as Arthur. It was weird man

Notice the map had missions on it again

Problem, when I save and love the game after mounting my horse, it just loads up John marston again 😢

Might try this since I don't have any space to update my rdr 2 on ps4 lol (my game version is still 1.31)

Go to the Cave but as you press "yes" in the Mission hold your L3 Stick up Then it works

The games dead now bro. If your on console idk what to tell you other then just play solo or maybe go on open mic and ride around see if people will talk to you. If your on PC tho definitely join an RP server as they are still very much alive and tons of fun

Your horse can swim, you can use it to get to some places. Otherwise i dunno why you need to swim in this game really

You can use the horse and carriage so the sniper can't kill you. Using this this glitch just to go into John's house would be weird, would Uncle, Abigail and Jack react to him as John or Arthur?

If I can still play as Arthur, I don’t mind about not being able to access certain areas. I didn’t quite like blackwater, nor the desert as much anyways

i saw missions as arthur on the map... and when you played as john there were no missions, and there isnt any missions in the epilogue that just have T in them...

Nah you dont need to complete epilogue but if you try to play epilouge missions u will play as john again.

The same thing that happens when you try it in the main game. Bounty Hunters spawn immediately and you get sniped.
