That doesn't make them worth more than gold, gold is still the best thing to find as it allows you to get whatever you want with the money you get and not just a specific item.

The first time I went into the saloon at valentine I wanted to play poker but instead massive racoon hat guy beat me to death for no reason

Awesome. Exactly where and why to get it. Concise and to the point with map markers and map wide outs so we're not confused as to precise locations.. You're the man! Thumbs up and subscribed!

RIP to all the lost hats in the game.

Ornate dagger is way cooler to have in your knife pouch during cutscenes than the default knife

next to the miner's hat there is a gold nugget as well :)

You can also get the Nevada Hat from the Sheriff of Valentine. I prefer the ornate dagger over the broken pirate sword but I like to get everything. Also when you get the raccoon mountain hat. Next time you are in Valentine and you can hear ol Jon in the saloon rent a room in the hotel and put the hat on and he'll run clear up to your room and fight ya. Or if you just show up in town wearing the hat he'll attack ya in the street.

I got a special hat when I took out some Lemoyne Raiders at that church. You gotta sketch. I only played this game once when it came out. Just know doing my second play through so much I didn’t know and missed. So much detail weapons clothing. Definitely a good game

curiosity: the Nevada hat can be obtained in another way, just go to valentine and kill Sheriff Malloy, the hat he wears is the nevada hat and will keep if you get it

You don't even have to kill Sheriff Malloy. Just bump into somebody hard enough to get them angry, walk them to Malloy and stand behind him. They will swing at you but hit him instead, knocking his hat off. Pick it up, climb the cart nearby, and your attacker will draw a gun. At that point Malloy will kill them himself. You get a free hat and lose no honor.

I think the veteran hat is the most beautiful its has alot more detail on it, its a shame its a blue colour, but the gold medal, red ribbon and feathers add alot of detail to it

If you throw a fire bomb at it a bolt of lightning strikes it the ritual or a rain cloud apppears over it

There’s a rare rolling block in found it in chapter 3 in the mission with Charles where you go looking for trelany just check all the body’s not sure if its 100% to spawn on one of the bounty hunters but that’s how I found it so take this as you will

Remember i get the racoon hat, then get to the jail, and it was really funny looking Arthur in racoon hat, laying on a bed behind the bars 😂

So why do I lose hats that I pick up? It gives the option to swap and if I leave I don’t have that hat anymore. I went in that mine to get the knife and the dead guy had a miner hat which I thought was awesome because it has a light on it. Well I swapped with another hat that I liked and when I left, it was no longer in my inventory or on my horse. Then I switched at my horse for Arthur’s hat, and the miners hat disappeared! It’s not on the ground or my inventory or anywhere! Wth??

Since when does wearing the racoon hat get saved to your wardrobe and inventory? I've picked up lots of special hats (like the guy holding half a treasure map) and I haven't ever seen that pop up.

Need help with understanding hats. I went and got the Nevada hat. Then went to get minners hat with a light. Went back to the horse. Checked to see what 3 hat's I had and decided to switch to the Nevada. So now I'm wearing the black Nevada and looked to check if I still had the minners hat. I don't. I don't see it on the ground, or in my horse items. I still have 3 hat's but the minners hat vanished. I went back into the mine but it's not there either. Being new to the game I really don't know what the heck I'm doing or how to work the hat options. Darn.

“Rarest video in the entire game”

for that first guy, I no joke I got jumped by this guy and as the fight was finishing up (trying my best to just defend because it was my 2nd fist fight) the sheriff shows up and just blasts the two of us with all of his deputies. I feel no remorse for my actions in valentine in the following days.

Ugh I was hoping I could get all this before Arthur’s death. I’m staying at 16 In Arthur’s prime and getting all the side stuff done. Rescuing hanged people, robbing the tipped places, and treasure hunting. Im grinding the camp upgrades rn and it’s a GRINDFFF
