Yerba mate | Cruz De Malta

Ойын-сауық

CRUZ DE MALTA Suave is a yerba out of Argentina. This yerba would be great for anyone new to yerba maté or those looking for a smooth, bitterless taste.

    Cruz de Malta has this soft taste but, in my opinion, the caffeine punch is heavy. very sneaky. Agree that is a good way to introduce someone to Hierba Mate

    New to yerba, got this as my first just on a whim. It's been really good so far, very smooth, obviously this is my first brand and cut(?), and I'm only on my second cup of all time so I don't have much in the way of tasting experience, using water at 170 degrees; it's been smooth and almost smoky, smoky in a good way like a whiskey maybe. I watched your video just to make sure I was doing this right, really enjoyed the content!

    @AmericanSatanist welcome to the circle! Yerba mate is a wonderful drink with many options. I'm glad to hear you like the Cruz de Malta. It's a favorite among so many materoes. It's also a great yerba to start with. I appreciate the views and your comment. If you like the 'smoky' tastes I would also recommend Rosamonte Especial when you are ready to try something new 🧉

    hello, thank you for this video. I was looking for information on the use of Santa Cruz mate. I can't keep a sufficiently compact wall in my container, certainly due in part to the grain size of this mate. certainly I'm doing it wrong too. I'm going to practice again

    As someone interested in this brand, I'm thrilled to see a review. As a mate newbie, I wanted to ask if this brand is organic? And is this one at all "roasted?" (You mentioned that it has chocolate notes, which I often read that "roasting" brings to it.) Thanks! Any expertise you have would be greatly appreciated!

    Great question @taylora8845! First, welcome to the world of yerba mate 😁 Cruz de malta is not smoked. I do not believe it is organic, but I am under the impression that there are no added chemicals or additives. It is 100% naturally processed. I hope you enjoy this brand as it is in many peoples top 5 yerbas. 🧉 Let me know if you have any other questions or requests. We would love to share information with you.

    New to yerba mate. Do you just fill the cup with leaves one time each day and keep filling it up all day? And on that note, how much should you drink? Do you drink it in the morning or sip it all day?

  • @yerbatravels

    @yerbatravels

    9 ай бұрын

    Great question! Yes! 😄 The traditional way of drinking yerba mate is to pour loose leaves (yerba) into a gourd or cup and drink with a bombilla (a special straw for filtering). Using this method, we fill the courd/cup 1/2 to 3/4 full and make a mound on one side. This keeps fresh yerba available for anywhere from 5 to 20 cycles (refills). So most people drink this throughout the day. Other methods include a French press. This method allows you to use as much or as little as you want. This can easily be adjusted for taste. The same goes for a coffee pot maker. For a beginner, I recommend a half full gourd of a yerba like Playadito, Cruz de Malta, or Amanda. If you prefer sweet flavors, then I recommend any (except honey) from CBSé, Porongo, or Dulce Misionerita. As for when, it's up to you. I enjoy certain yerbas in the morning and others throughout the day and even at night. Thanks for watching and commenting. Hope this was helpful, and I am glad to answer any other questions you may have. Salud / Cheers 🧉
