I've seen several people theorizing that this is about (G)I-DLE taking revenge for Soojin. Shuhua plays Soojin in the scenes where she's wearing the white dress, and the bandage imagery recalls Soojin's comeback with BLACK FOREST. Her wearing pants is where she's actually playing herself. In the part where Shuhua's laying down on the floor in the white dress, when we zoom in on her face, the clip is flipped so that the mole under her eye is on the other side, closely matching Soojin's mole under her eye. This is supported even more by Shuhua's investigation scene where Soyeon raps. In the top left of the corkboard there's a paper with 6 fingerprints rather than the 5 you'd expect from a normal hand. Another shot that focuses on "1 killed, 1 hurt at Mumbai high-rise", to the very right you can see a paper with a bunch of paragraphs under "Last Easter Night". Under those paragraphs are dates. There are 4 of them and they're all birthdays of 4 of the members. From left to right it goes Minnie, Soojin, Yuqi, Shuhua. Yep, Soojin's birthday is straight up on the paper! This might also be in reference to how Minnie, Yuqi, and Shuhua have been having to work insane schedules while being sick the past few months. So they're probably taking revenge from Cube Entertainment in general for the mistreatment of the group. Also "Last Easter Night" appears several times in the MV, along with being the first line in the chorus. Easter is in April, the same month Soojin's controversy began back in 2021. This one's just an extra note but, another interesting thing is that the article about the Mumbai fire with 1 killed 1 hurt is a real article. The event took place in October 22nd, 2021. I don't know how it might have a connection in that regard but I guess people can do their own research around that.

also, you can see in the hallway scene where they are all frozen there is 6 girls instead of 5 there is 2 Shuha's.

I think Shuhua is playing herself and Soojin. Soojin was hurt in the fire at the start and then at the end she took all the bandages off and is okay.

I realized in watching your reaction that in the beginning when shuhua walked into the apartment before it blew up you see the light change from light to dark which to me represents time passing from day to night. So i think she walked in and a few hours pass before it blows up. It looks like Soyeon picked up a matchstick fron the stairs where Minnie was sitting. Minnie also later lights the match. Maybe yuqi and minnie had the same lover and yuqi saw minnie running out of his hotel room and yuqi realized shes being cheated on. Soyeon is just the maid walking out but sees this interaction. Omg, soyeon probably came up with this story based on Yuqi's story about her and minnie sharing the same romantic interest pre-debut. 😂 Yuqi talked about this on a variety show. Love your reaction btw!

Here's my theory: This is an abuse-murder related story. Each girl has a character to play. I believe Minnie is a business woman Yuqi is an aspiring musician Miyeon is a detective, who happens to be in that hotel that day Soyeon is a housekeeping staff at the hotel Shuhua is playing two roles. The one in the white dress is in an abusive relationship. The other one is an investigator who is watching this story unfold along with us, audience or her future self looking back at that last easter night (On a side note, we believe the girl in an abusive relationship is Soojin.... At 1:31 you can see Soojin's birth date written on the poster, also at the hallway scene there are 6 of them...) Let's get to the story, The main character Shuhua was in an abusive relationship. The blood on her lips at the first shot indicates this. MInnie and Yuqi are neighbours of this Shuhua and they have known about the abuse she is going through. Soyeon knew about this too. Her looking through the keyhole indicates this. Last Easter night, the man tried to attack her again, and she fought back. All the women in the hallway witnessed this and decides to help her. The shock on Yuqi's face after colliding with Minnie and looking at the door of Shuhua's room indicates this ...Yuqi hits him with the guitar. Miyeon stabs him with the pen. Soyeon pours the gasoline/petrol. Minnie lit it using the matchbox she had. This is the blast we see at the very beginning of the mv. And they all get rid of the evidence of the murder. We can see Soyeon dragging the trash bag through the hallway , at 0:46 you can see Soyeon is inside a cctv room. She deletes the footage of anything related to that murder. Miyeon, who is also a detective takes charge of the investigation and covers it up as a fire accident. At the interrogation scene with Minnie, Miyeon drops her pen, the same one which she used to stab the abuser. This is an indication that she dealt with the legal proceedings and closed the case. The newspaper cuttings on the investigation room of Shuhua references several fire accidents including Mumbai Tardeo (Kamala building) fire which resulted in the death of 6 people and the other title State has become a tinder box etc. After that, we can see them dance in joy... They killed the abuser and saved the victim. Shuhua, the investigator who unfolded this case learns the truth but decides to keep it as a fire accident because the abuser deserved it all. In the end we see the victim Shuhua taking off her bandages. This is to show that she has overcome the wounds and scars of her previous abusive relationship. She is free now... SHE GOT THE REVENGE!!!!!!

I think the plot may be this:In the first scene we can see Shuhua in the balcony, but we can also see Minnie at the top,then there are clips of Minnie been interrogated by Miyeon(who pick up the pen from the floor), Soyeon cleaning and Yuqi in her room with blood in the guitar; then is the scene in which Minnie trip over Yuqi, and Yuqi seems to be frightened by something in the room:the fight between Shuhua and the man(probably her husband), that’s why she run in and hit the man with the guitar when the man recovers and want hurt Shuhua again, Miyeon hit the man with her pen,and Minnie fired the house.As we’d seen at the beginning, Minnie lives upstairs of Shuhua,so Soyeon moved the body to Minnie’s room ,that’s why Minnie was arrested,they make everyone think that Shuhua was hurt by the fire( she was full covered, but at the end scene we can observe that she wasn’t hurt ).Although Miyeon is the police, she was helping the girls by checking the cameras in the elevator and free Minnie. The background was that Shuhua had been abused many times by the man who’s living with her, all the girls helped Shuhua to kill the man,that’s why the song’s called «revenge», I don’t know if someone else have noticed that in the song, Shuhua says«I got the revenge» and then she coughs, that may be because of the fire 🧐 Also, I think Shuhua is acting as the detective who was trying to investigate, she was looking at the cases, in 3:59 there was a notice about a killed in Mumbai, the story background was set in India because the women there had few rights and they were suppressed by the men, that’s why they want to make this song with a girl who was abused😢

Ahh I forgot one thing, Yuqi was looking through the cat eye, that may be because she heard how Shuhua was been hit, and Minnie was running down because she knew that Shuhua was been abused( they live in the same building so Minnie should knew what was happening to Shuhua) and Soyeon was picking up the match in the staiirs where Minnie had sit and make sure there was no evidence left

It's about Soojin. The victim is Soojin. Shuhua is also playing her because she was the closest to Soojin. The girls are taking out revenge on the false accusers and all those who wronged Soojin. That's who the man represents that they are killing. Soojin's birthday is also in the MV. This is GIDLE's revenge. OT6 FOREVER.

Never ever expected even on my wildest mind something like this happened on KPop 😭 The first and craziest think i ever experienced in Kpop! I know they can't pass this comeback until we have they killing a man! I love how it's restricted to some age, and that's why adult self produce kpop idol is the best!!!

Agreed. Bibi has this tone but she’s not technically kpop or an idol so has more freedom. The fact the ladies of (G)Idle did this within the more restrictive kpop idol system - especially as a girl group which we know doesn’t get equal latitude as bg - is so 🔥

She is Korean She lives in Korea She sings in Korean She's on Korean radio and TV (when the material is not rated Adult Only) She attends Korean festivals (waterbomb was fun) She hangs out with other Korean Idols and Soloists (everybody she has ever collabed with likes her including Soyeon and Young-ji) AND finally, almost every piece of music done in Korea is under the 'K-Pop' banner, "because Korea!' Ok, in detail: 1. “K-Pop” isn’t a blanket term for current music produced in Korea by Koreans. It is a specific genre/category for artists who have gone through the ‘Idol’ system. 2. This Idol system consists of being a trainee and debuting under one of the big agencies like YG, Hybe, JYP, SM or even second-tier agencies like Cube. You are then a K-Pop Idol. 3. This is not a genre definition I am inventing. This is a requirement to be considered ‘K-Pop’ that is made in the country of origin, and the public likewise has different expectations of Idols specifically based on this. This difference of expectations factored into my comment earlier, btw. 3. Bibi is K-R&B and neither K-Pop nor a K-Pop Idol as she herself has said. She is an independent artist who was discovered on Soundcloud by fellow indie Tiger JK (K-Hiphop btw) and his indie label Fheel Good Music - which is why (because her image isn’t contractually managed by a big agency) she can be far more unfiltered and ‘controversial’ than an Idol is allowed. 4. A common criticism of K-Pop is that it is music and Idols as corporate product, since the Agencies (which also function as labels) have so much control over the resulting music, image etc. 5. There are select Idols and Idol Groups like (G) Idle that have control over their artistic work but this is more the exception than the rule. And this stems from a set of circumstances where Cube was in crisis at the time of their debut and didn’t have a debut written or planned for them so Soyeon took it on and Cube let them due to their problems. Latata proved a commercial hit, and Soyeon’s ability to produce commercially successful music gave (G) Idle an unusual degree of freedom. Hopefully, (G) Idle’s success will set a precedent for the future. 6. Many K-Pop fans in Korea and abroad actually consider it slightly offensive when Westerners just lump anything coming out of Korea as ‘K-pop’. It’s reductive. K-Pop’s business model is similar to the 90’s and 2000’s Disney system that produced kid popstars like Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez at the time. So it would be like saying all American popular music of the time was D-Pop. Although of course, K-Pop has a far greater cultural impact than the Disney’s music efforts. I hope this ‘In Detail’ explanation works for you. Perhaps in the future, it would be better to look into things before barreling in with smug, confident ignorance on a subject. At least two of them have been caught actually saying it on camera during interviews...Shuhua and I don't remember who else said it. They just want the hell to be over with. When (G)I-DLE gets 'disbanded' by Cube at the end of that (or if they just plain refuse to re-sign and leave instead), Cube will fall, collapse under its own ginormous weight, too big for its own breaches. It won't fall INSTANTLY but the company will eventually go bankrupt without these geniuses propping up the giant egos of the Execs. I hope ALL of the Execs and at least some of the Managers wind up bankrupt and homeless. I hope it is VERY PUBLIC when it happens. I hope everybody recognizes these sleaze-balls and NEVER trust them with ANYTHING ever again. These jerks do not deserve their privileged lives. They need to be hurt like they hurt others. They need to suffer consequences like they make others suffer. That includes everybody responsible for what Cube did to Soojin and everybody responsible for disbanding CLC from out of nowhere, and they disbanded a boy group before that.

Great reaction.. But this MV have a secret meaning.. At the same time that they're telling the story of revenge, it's also a metaphor for what happened to Soojin. If you stop the video at 1:31 there are dates and one of them is Soojin's birthday. Besides, if we repeat it, from Soojin's point of view, it makes sense. Soojin was accused and how do we see Minnie (Soojin's cause) being interrogated and we see Miyeon checking the polygraph and we see that it's a lie and what did Miyeon do?? He looked to the side to get a pen (Cube also looked to the side knowing that what they said about Soojin was a lie) The two characters that Shuhua represents are one Soojin (who was a victim and was burned in that situation just as she was in real life) and Shuhua herself who tried to investigate so that Soojin would not be accused On the posters we see that this explosion caused 1 dead (Soojin because her career in G-Idle died) and one injured (G-Idle himself) In the hallway we see 6 people (and one of them we don't see the face but we can repeat that it's Soojin) For example, at the beginning of their career, and still today, a lot of people said that Shuhua and Soojin had similarities, so maybe that's why they chose Shuhua to repeat Soojin. And that's them telling the story of what happened to Soojin and saying that they're going for revenge. And the line Last Easter night He talks about the beginning of Soojin's investigation that started around that time. Besides that it's a play on word ( Easter night = Easter eggs) And at the end we see one of the Shuhua (Soojin) healing from being burned (as she was in the situation of being accused) and we see her recovering. In addition to that the album "I burn" It's the name of Soojin's latest album on G-Idle. 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 But there it is, these are just theories. But these are theories that make sense. We'll only know if it's really true if they come to confirm the public until then, it's just guesswork. 😂😂

11:49 The scene in the corridor. I think it’s not real, it’s in Shuhua’s mind. As you can see two Shuhua there. My theory: Shuhua is a victim and she came back and staged a revenge and got the other girls as accomplices in the process.

MV for my favorite track on the album! Amazing! And now I have the POV of being stabbed by Miyeon ingrained in my brain forever lol. I'm just as confused as you are.

I can't wait to hear all the theories about this one!!! I 1000% agree with you on BEG, it has a Abracadabra/Sixth Sense type vibe to it!!

My theory is that the man that attacked Shuhua was cheating on her with Yuqi amd Minnie. When Minnie gets back to the building, she gets to her room that is, a little big for one person no? And because Minnie is right above Shuhua, she probably hears all the abuse. When Minnie and Yuqi run into each other, Yuqi starts to realise that he is cheating. Yuqi is dating him because she has an electric guitar amd an acoustic guitar. She is playing the electric one more, so im assuming that one is hers. The board in shuhuas room with Minnie's picture on it is because she is realising what the man is doing. Soyeon is a hotel staff and he l ps bring the body to Minnie's room, and that's why minnie is being interrogated. The interrogation tkaes place after the fire, and Minnie explaines the situation to miyeon, and she doesn't charge the girls with murder, because the man desevred it. All the girls know that the man is abusive towards Shuhua so they plan this to make it seem like Shuhua was hurt in the fire, but at the end, when she takes the bandages off, she is unharmed. In the begginging, when Shuhua goes into her apertment, it goes from light to dark, showing that some time has passed. Sorry is this theory is all over the place and doesn't make sense, but that is just how my brain works.

@@roguereacts well honestly before i was really into those music shows that gives win for kpop groups or soloist but not now its so rigged that its not even worth watching specially if check all the criteria where they get votes,you can tell now.why?well i believe that there are kpop who would only get a single digit vote or even zero vote that is literally impossible.you can also tell if you consider yourself a very long time fan of kpop because before any year award giving body for kpop it doesn't matter if they are just nominees or winners they do all attend year end awards,kpop never schedule their tours or concerts during before the year end awards of all the kpop award giving shows,but now a days even winner doesn't attend anymore and you can also tell that all year end awards for kpop always adding alot of special awards so that more groups can get awards and more will attend you can tell through the history of it,and most of all winners before always had been one for each category now can see two winners are different names of awards that used to fall only under one category.
