Yellow-throated Vireo Song
This is the most colorful of the vireos. The Yellow-throated is a migratory bird of open deciduous forests that requires large tracts of forest to breed successfully. It has disappeared from some parts of its former breeding range due to forest fragmentation.

To me part of the song reminds me of an old rusty swing going back and forth. One of my favorite songs.
The forest in the back of my parents property has matured much in the last 15 years they have owned it.... I just heard (and saw) these for the first time singing in the canopy. Was Nice to have them there now!

Where are you from? I am in central Maine. I think...I've seen this. I used to see them quite more so when I lived in Rhode Island. Maine woods are dense and huge. It'd be easy to lose sight of one, especially in fall!

That's a beautiful sounding 🐦💖
2 new parts in the backyard today
Un canto muy melodioso y fresco.
Saw one 3 weeks ago in a mulberry tree then it flew to a bird bath next to a maple tree. Headed south for the winter apparently.
HoMM 3 - Rough theme :)
