Yellow Jacket MASSIVE Ground Nest STING Wasp Nest Removal ASMR
MASSIVE Yellow Jacket nest in ground Sting and Swarm! This nest was well hidden but began to swarm before my Dad started to mow. So out of safety for the old man ;-) It needed to be removed.
I vacuumed up many adults as I could while digging up the main nest. This nest had well over 3,000 individuals inside! Once extracted, you can see the inside the hole and learn just how they accomplish this feat!
Thanks for the donations!
Crowdfunding Campaign: www.gofundme.com/f/building-t...
And of course, no removal is totally complete without a little tweezing for you larvaholics and the girls having a feast!

There's certainly no nice way to kill another creature. But when my clients call me (in this case, my parents) they arent paying me to kill the nest for the heck of it, most people are terrified because they are too close to their house (like in this case). Relocating colonies is something I do frequently when its feasible and realistic. Check out my QA video where I talk about the details of relocating and what all goes in to choosing a nest as a good candidate to relocate. kzread.info/dash/bejne/k6JnzKSectiveNY.html Feeding the nests to my girls is a way to complete the circle of life. When you have to destroy life as a profession, it's a waste to simply destroy it, but rather I feed the colony that would have just rotted and benefited no one to my chickens, which they enjoy and is super healthy for them. It's hard being the one to decide who dies and who is relocated; and in some instances, I convince some clients to merely let the colonies be, since they arent a threat in their location. It talks me out of a job, but I rather preserve life when feasible to the safety of others.

Phantom Foxy Just because a species of animal doesn’t directly produce something for human consumption doesn’t mean it’s not beneficial and that it should be removed. Wasps help to control insect pest populations which if not controlled can cause immense damage to plants and agriculture. Everything has a place and a purpose in the ecosystem, and nothing is simple as “oh they can hurt us and they can’t be used for food? Then kill it”

@@WorrizEcko Wasps eat other insects, tons of them. I noticed when one year i had such a ground wasp nest in my garden. I have a cherry tree in my garden too, and most years the cherries are full with little larvae, you cannot really harvest them when you dont use insecticides against the larvae of the cherry fruit flies. The year with the wasp nest, i could eat tons of cherries, and no larvae to be found inside the cherries. The wasps catched the cherry fruit flies the moment they hatched from the ground, and fed them to their wasp children :) Every animal has its use in the circle that is nature.

Yes! Your Momma is WAY PRECIOUS, mate!! I was an only child growing-up with a single-mom, and there were times in the very beginning of my 12/13yr old years that I thought I hated her. "Your so strict compared to my friends Mom's!!" Of course Mum's favorite response was "Good!!" I've seen your removal bids before and it's real cool you did this one for Mom and Dad, and you added in the little repartee with her and the "that's what she said". Mum would have given me the evil-f*cking eye if I'd said that crap in Prep-School days and as a very very young "adult". Now that I'm in my thirties, we have this exceptionally dry, borderline vulgar back and forth when we joke around on the phone, and it's FAB!! Mum's been an ER doc almost all my life so she's developed a very crude sarcastic sense of humor from seeing trauma back to back day after day (especially with kids), and has to be able to keep her shit together and keep her staff on task when there's very bad emergencies or babies that have to be coded. Still, through all the horrible stuff she's seen, especially since COVID, I've never met someone so positive about Humanity and optimistic about human nature! (I'm a pragmatist and a realist, so we certainly butt-heads there!) Tell your Momma you love her every chance you get!!!

I don't know about the tweezing asmr, but I'm ALL ABOUT the excavating and collecting of the hives and the feeding of the grubs to the chickens. The feeding of the chickens is my favorite part of your videos actually. Those chickens really get the best life, eating the grubs of who knows how many bugs...

This is the first time I've seen one of your videos. I was hooked immediately and subscribed after the first minute. With you explaining as you go along makes your video that much better. Also I love how you talk about your mom, you must be a very good son. ❤ I'm ending here because I can't wait to find more of your videos until I get the notification. Thank you

My favorite part of all your videos is you calling and talking to your birdie birds and your squirly squirrel..
Delightful! I mowed over a ground nest at my mother's house when I was a kid. They didn't happen to bother me. However, my wonderful Irish Setter decided to irritate them, so they go after him, and he runs over to me ... of course. I was also stung on the eyebrow while on the roof painting. Nice to see them being vacuumed up. Thank you for the enjoyment. I purchased an air pistol (firing salt) for my adult son so he could deal with some individuals. Yellow jackets are one of the few on my list. Thanks, again. I have Liked and subscribed. This is a very educational and satisfying video. And you refer to your mother as precious ... what a wonderful son.
Feeding your chickens the wasp larvae? The Circle of Life!
One of the most aggressive hornets known to man? This won't be a problem, not for _me and my trusty 3HP shopvac!_

What a fantastic video. You give so much fascinating information about these insects which is really interesting and broadens our knowledge. Thanks for taking the stings! The tweezing is SO therapeutic, you could just have a channel with just doing that, no speaking and it would be a hit LOL. Glad that they go to three beautiful girls and don't go to waste xx
That is wild! I just had a company come take out a nest. I'm so glad I called a professional .
I hit one of these with a push mower in Sc several years ago, they lit my azz up. I got stung 65 times almost died.

Noah Miller, for me I HATE ANY FORM OF BEEs honey bees aren’t that bad just don’t wear black. My method of bee extermination is fill the nest with gasoline like 10gal, make a gas trail... light the match and evacuate the premises. But holy mother of God thats a lot of bees. Honey bees aren’t that bad, but wasps and hornets are just ugly creatures. After we spray a wasp nest I watch em die, cuss at em and with pleasure. Those underground hornets are the meanest of em all! We had a nest in our crane gearbox and it’s early February in Texas and most of em are gone and we needed it to move a 500lb truck rear end we didn’t know it was there until I pulled it and out they came, after that I ran then I handed it to my dad and he killed em with the killer. This is my 2nd time watching this video and it still gives me the hebie gebies. I just get the chills just thinking about it.

God bless whoever came up with the idea to use a vacuum when removing these tiny terrors!👍
Normal people: sees hornet nest, honey grab the hornet killer. Hornet king: honey grab the vaccum and the chickens.
Can we just have a 35 minute video of the chickens 🥰
Of all the amazing, funny, precious, sweet, gentle, raw moments in this awesome video, I have to say, the “chip chip cheeep chip cheep cheeeep cheep chip chippp cheeeeppp!” Part was the greatest bestest part of all. That and the hilarity of the chicken in an urgent situation needing to lay her egg screaming for the other! So cute and what amazing creatures we live among. Seriously. Yellow jackets, chickens, moms, wasp handlers, all of them.
Thank you for the 3 camera effort as I can appreciate the difference it made.

Admission about why I watch you. I had a paper wasp nest in the wall of my bedroom as a kid giving me severe spheksophobia. I've managed to work this phobia down to just disgust and avoidance rather than triggering full blown panic attacks or acute stress response. This is basically therapy. Watching the things that held immense power over me just cease. Thank you from myself and on the behalf of other people terrified of hymenopterans.
I love watching the chickens at the endddd!! Honestly everything was worth watching for the part at the end about Ginger laying her egg 🥰
Anyone else find this incredibly satisfying to watch?
I like that the nest doesn't just get wasted but the chicken get a meal out of it as well
Shocking how you were able to remove that giant nest so perfectly intact.
How awesome that you feed the larvae to your chickens. I liked watching them.
