@Finneas_fillet i just got swarmed yesterday while mowing grass. I got stung 10-15 times on my ankles, both of my calves one under my arm, and one on my rib cage. I can tell you it hurt from 2pm when i initially got stung till 12am when the benadryl finally kicked in and i slept. Today i woke up and it just itches. So i guess depending on how many times you get stung it can hurt from 1-10 hours... people can correct me if im wrong im just speaking on my own recent experience.

Okay what do you mean they are misunderstood? I get it if you were referring to honeybees but yellow jackets and hornets are definitely not doing anything to help anything lol. I think they are definitely understood correctly as the bane of all things and although they are cool creatures in general they aren't doing anything but stinging everything and causing issues similar to the existance of mosquitoes.
The emus laying down in the puddle to cool off and be underneath the hose was so freaking cute!!❤
Thank you for the education. I used to be terrified every time I heard or saw a bee or hornet… but because of these videos, I’m much more relaxed now.

Felt so bad when you got stung. Those southern’s really are more aggressive. You could see some of the hornets going back to sound the alarm. It was instant swarm. Amazing to watch their defense. As usual, Rhea the rhea’s plumage is striking and the emu’s in their puddle bath is something to see. Nine appointments?!? Phew, that’s so crazy. Thanks again, for sharing.

Yeah the hornets have been nuts I mean at my home they made a large nest that had to get removed and it was high up underneath the siding of the home…. terrifying yet mesmerizing
Every time I watch….EVERY time…a random hair touches me and I jump 3 feet thinking it’s a hornet. Or, if a hornet gets close to the mic, I jerk thinking one is close. But I just have to watch! 🐝

Right before watching this video my brother called me telling me that our sister's dog Jack got stung by a yellow jacket in the backyard. I'm pretty sure he'll be fine by the time you read this comment. Congratulations on the millions!🎉
Growing up in north Alabama we were always dealing with yellow jackets in the ground. The cure was pouring gasoline down the hole then throwing a match to it. It would burn for a long time.
Rhea has become so beautiful this year. Wow. ❤❤❤

Congrats on 1 million. That’s really cool. But you deserve it because you make great, educational videos.
I think it's kinda funny and cute how the second group of wasps were swarming more around the camera than on you it's almost like they're attacking the camera like "YOU DID THIS"
I love your approach, not using harsh chemicals and instead going natural. Returning larva to nature (birds). I actually direct people to your channel to educate them about these animals (wasps, hornets)
Congratulations to you on this momentous occasion. God bless you and here's to 1M more.

I love your rhea. She is so beautiful especially when she fluffed her feathers

A few weeks ago, my 79 year old mom and I randomly saw a yellow jacket and she started telling me about this guy she’d found on KZread that was crazy enough that he relocated a nest to his barn. I’ve watched your videos for a few years now, so it sounded familiar. I asked her if that guy also fed the hornet larva to his chickens, squirrels, and other animals at the end of each video… “How did you know that?” Yeah, it was your videos she’d found! lol
Congrats on hitting one million subscribers! Great extractions, good to see all your birdies and the squirrel. Thanks for the videos.

Congratulations Bret on the 1 Mil! You definitely deserve reaching this goal. Your educational material alone is phenomenal. I love how you show the food chain in nature with your animals. Then establishing so many of these nest in your own backyard to finish out the season while teaching all of us about the different species. Thank you so so much. Sending blessings and prayers to your family, Hornet King YT and all your lovely animals we so enjoy. P.S. Now if you're putting those bags of bees🐝in the household refrigerator you have one patient and tolerant wife. You would need a separate one in your shop for those projects I think under most circumstances.🤣😂🤣

Congrats on the million subscribers, definitely well deserved! Do you ever have to periodically wipe down cameras, vacuums etc to eliminate pheromone scents or no? A couple of days ago, i was moving a round hay bale to feed my daughters horses. Imagine my surprise while removing the netting when i discovered a yellow jacket nest near the base right next to me! I only got stung once luckily, the nest was promptly eliminated! Never heard of a nest on a hay bale before.

Congratulations on a million subscribers. Luckily so far this summer, and it's still only early August, I've had just 2 softball+ sized yellow jacket nests on our smaller suburban lot to deal with. Thankfully Mother Nature's hornet removal experts dug the nests out for me during the night, and I only had to treat for the few adults they left behind. I've been finding nests left snd right on our lawn client's properties that I service, and some of them are rather big too. One lady even asked me what this big basketball-sized gray bump with a ton of bees around it under her deck was. Never seen a half-under, half-above ground nest like that before. Hornet removal may be an interesting and slightly lucrative side business to invest in.
Oh man I felt that BFH sting.
Thanks Again!!!! TB

I like your birds. That’s great that you can feed them your removals.
I got stung a few weeks ago right between my eyes. I didn't even see what it was, but I heard it fly. It's not fun. I can't even imagine how it must be for my niece who could die if she gets stung without an EpiPen. Even then, she has 20 minutes to get to a hospital. Please stay safe, and God bless.
Congrats on the million subscribers. I’m really loving this channel. it’s made me less afraid of wasps, although I still don’t like them all that much. Love the birdies & the bees though❤
Whenever a video has a southern yellow jacket company in it, I have to watch!
I relay liked the explanation at the end.
I live too far north in NW England for European Hornets to be much of an problem so it's great to learn so much from the videos where you deal with them in the US. Plenty of common wasps here though
HECK YUHHH BOIII been waitin for another one
Omg hornet king, billy the exterminator from vex-con and bigjettv are the only 3 channels on youtube i get most excited to see forsure x love these videos x
Thanks it’s nice to know what works well under the suit. I tend to wear king jeans, and long sleeve thick shirt under my suit. But my gosh, I can literally soak my undershirt fully before I even turn on my vacuum.
Holy cow! I never realized how long Emus can live in captivity. It's like making a lifetime commitment to care for them.
Congrats on one million subs, and you have to improve or replace your suit man, it isn´t okay you get stung at all, and especially not when you handle so many of them! Take care and stay safe!❤ /L

It was cool to see riah the riah poof! I'm sorry you got stung a couple times. I've learned that I can take one or two hits from wasps without going into shock myself, and tell everyone around me the pen is in my pocket in case a sudden onset that I can't manage.
I was surprised by the size of the sting hole on your skin! Is it from the constant up and down motion as they sting? Very painful, I imagine, esp. on the fleshy part of your ear! The buzzing inside that hood would freak me out! I am so happy for your 1M+ subscribers; you more than deserve it! Love, health and safety to you as you bring us more fabulous videos!👍💖
one thing that i have to say I'm impressed with wasps with is their resiliency. we have some fuel islands at work and we have a wasp nest in the side of the concrete island the pumps are sitting on. the islands are surrounded by steel plating. they built a nest in the hollow of the concrete behind the steel plate. I've been going in and siliconing the cracks they fly out of. I cannot prove this next statement, but one of my trips to silicone their new entrance, it appears that they cut a hole through a rust spot on the steel. I don't know how thick this spot was, but it impressed me. none the less
I ALWAYS learn so much watching these videos you put together, but the most entertaining thing is watching you interact with your birds. I totally get it.. I do the same things with my dogs and my husband says he just stops what he's doing to hear what kind of songs Im singing to them today and in what voice... hahaha~! Thank you so much for the education!
Love the channel, squirley squirrel is my favorite cast member. I think you should start a B channel… featuring a can of raid, a fly swatter, and a pair of track shoes! Run HK run!
