I am very grateful for this video. In 1999, life was very busy with marriage, work and two young daughters. I didn't know that #29 had died of ALS. I am overwhelmed. Truly a great man, father, and pitcher.

So very lucky to have watch in play from the A's to the Yankees. So very proud to have met him and spent time with Catfish. A true Hall of Famer!

Was just going to watch a few minutes but this biography was so well made and Catfish Hunter was such an interesting guy that I watched the whole thing and loved it. Ha ha. I'm not even a Yankee fan, but I loved Catfish Hunter. Peace out.

Jim Hunter was a great pitcher and an even greater man. When I needed a photo of "Catfish" for my book "JOINING ARNOLD: Rise of the Girlie Man," Mrs. Helen Hunter, Tommy and Sherry Harrell could not have been nicer and helpful. Rest in peace Kim Hunter. With love and best wishes to you all.

Todd Frazier was honored to wear number 29 to remember Jim Catfish Hunter since he also worn number 29 back in the 70s, so it was an honor to have the number 29 be used for Todd Frazier and other players today, but now the number 29 on the Yankees is available and wasn’t used last year and may not be used this year, hopefully next year the number 29 will be used to honor Catfish Hunter

I grew up in Kansas City in the summers as my dads boss was an associate of the mob and saw the Athletics lose every game and the minute they moved to Oakland they Win Three World Series in a row.! Isn’t that great. In fact Roy Mantle worked for my dad for awhile and I always wondered how he even knew about the job. MOB in the union.’

Catfish Hunter won 200 games by 30 years of age....I think only Walter Johnson & Christy Matheson ever did that....or something crazy like it.
