I like the relocated choke! I tried something similar with a 2002 Suzuki Katana I cafe'd. Maybe route it facing back so it's located under the seat? Excited to see how the rest of the project turns out.

Rabid Squirrel Garage - Thanks so much for this video. My boy and I just bought the exact bike, a 2005, and we are having problems with a stuck choke plunger and broken cable. Can you share the trick on cleaning out the choke so i can get the plunger to slide in and out more freely. As well, where is the best place to order the shorter version of the choke cable. That would be great! Thanks so much.

Do you have a video of the single throttle cable conversion? if not what did you need to do, mentioned placing a spring at the carb?

Nothing to convert.. just take for the cable that moves the throttle back at “start position” On my 250, the spring on the carburator is strong enough so the throttle handle Will go back to zero, on its own

hey great videos, do you have any idea wich carb we can use for the same bike to replace de original? It have that super breakeable little rubber cover on the side pump, that i have to relace every year!!!

Right next to the air filter.

I just put a new carburetor on my 2009 Yamaha V Star xv250 and now it will not start can you please help me with this

I tried to do something similar to my choke as well. For some reason everytime I push down on the choke knob it'll uncork from the brass piece. Is there a certain way I need to push the pin into the carb? Thanks for the help!

Try adjusting the choke cable (shorten it).

Can you please please tell me where you got this choke or share a link. It is the very last thing to do on my bike then I can ride this summer. I am totally willing to donate to your page.

I’m trying to get my choke lever off the handlebars and do this, you think that conversion would work from switch to knob? As long as the cable travel is about the same it shouldn’t matter right?

Agreed, as long as the cable is long enough and opens the choke, it really doesn't matter what the handle looks like.

Can you please tell me where to buy the exhaust system for your virago?
