8:40 nothing is wrong with switchgear 😂 Also, nobody uses horn outside India especially in Western countries. It's very rare. And exactly same model is sold in America also. Indians are not getting an "outdated" model.

@@DCP_CHITROLE_CID I think for India it's good but high price. For western world, it's not powerful enough and heavy/stable for highway speed of 120kmph+ After 2000km riding I can say that lack of slipper clutch is not relevant. And I hardly look at instruments. I look at the road ahead 😂 If you want color TFT, sit at home and watch Netflix on your 80 inch TV...

Nice comprehensive review!. In my opinion, you dont need a TFT console - you are not going to play video games while riding. Its only for aesthetics...even traction control/ride modes are not needed for a 40bhp bike. Its good to improve your skills on a purely intuitive machine.

i have 2017 dec R3. never had any issue. only once my ignition coil failed and that too because of my piggy back ECU. and as far as the switches on the handlebars are concerned, 2017 model has the switch that you desire to have in the new model. so better order it from Yamaha service centre. They will get you. yes regarding the light, Yamaha always has very average throw. one must buy an after market light. Well these are performance bikes and it has so much scope to improve. i have invested around 2.5 lacs on R3 for performance upgrade and it feels just beautiful. Among the machines i have, It will always be my fav one. i wish if i had more years to ride it. M 46 and rediscovered my riding hobby just a few years back.

9:30 yes it doesn't have slipper clutch. You need to learn how to ride a bike and use those skills 😂 And also get used to this particular bike. Give it a 500 kms before you try anything stupid. If you don't know what you're doing, downshift can kill you!

After riding 2000km I can say that lack of slipper clutch is not relevant. Just give some time to get used to the bike. Then you will learn how to downshift at high speed but keep rpms high and then twist it to overtake.

@@CarbonRP dude, I own the bike 😂 1)It gets blown about by the wind. Need heavier bike for touring 2) needs more power on highways. Yeah it can touch 170 kmph at 11,000 rpm but believe me you don't want to be riding fast on it for more than a short time 😂 3) doesn't have proper luggage for touring 4) passenger/pillion? forget about it... In fact it's good around the city or you can take it to race track to conquer the curves. Super easy to lean it!

After 2000km riding, I can say that it's awesome in curves. I am not an expert rider but even I was doing curves at 100kmph! 😂 (Curves, not reverse bends) Lack of slipper clutch is not relevant. Get used to it. Learn how to operate this machine. You can downshift from 6th to 5th at 70-80kmph (but keep rpms high) and then twist to accelerate to 120kmph in 5th to overtake. It's underpowered for highway. If you are already at 100-120 and then you need to speed up even more to overtake or get out of some situation , it won't accelerate fast. It can reach top speed of 170kmph also but it's a slow process.

Nah, none of the R3's in India or even globally have faced any such ECU related issue. RR unit tends to have issues which is a relatively cheap part (5-6k) and that only happens when external accessories are installed incorrectly.
