The existing ADV is not based 2nd gen duke platform, KTM made it completely from scratch taking design elements from it's Dakar rally bike

Very nice review, very technical covering all aspects , amazing shots of you using the knee slider and as usual your wheelies don't disappoint. The fact that you felt the electronics were not intrusive whilst on track is quite helpful. I was planning to get the aprillia rs 660 as a track tool , but will give this bike a look in.i am still learning the track skills so something like this will be nice

Interesting to know that you guys got it with bidirectional quick shifter. We never got a quick shifter in the US. In fact, we do not even get it as a power part from KTM. We have had it for the new RC though, only as a power part and not stock. Thanks for the review. We are yet to see this in the flesh here. Hopefully in the next few months.

They have had a make shift quickshifter on the last gen too but this one is more refined

Great review. For someone who's looking to have a 2 bike garage with one adv(him 450 or possibly the next gen ktm adv 390) and one naked/roadster, would you recommend the duke 390 or the speed 400? I understand theres a difference in power delivery and character, but as per your experience which felt like the better overall product? Is the price delta of 1 lakh justified?

This was an amazing review, would love to see a side by side review for both KTM and TVS. thank you Sargent and the team for putting out such a lovely content

How does this feel compared to the first gen? I have the BS4 second gen 390 Duke and it feels watered down because of the ride by wire throttle. Is the new one as fast and as punchy as the first gen?

Watching the ending I think someone or KTM can design a seat which is for track use specifically... I mean taller and giving more space to the rider to move back by redesigning the pillion seat as well.

I love Sagar's reviews simply because he is so passionate about riding and takes each and every bike to the possible limits! Heck, none of the official propaganda of a given brand sounds so convincing as Sagar when he tells you whether a given bike is really good! And I love KTM too! Thanks to KTM and Bajaj partnership, Indians as well as the rest of the world have got accessible performance - even though the current set of KTM bikes are way more expensive than the original launch prices - even now these are difficult to beat in terms of combination... I am loving all the competition now happening where TVS is also trying to up the ante in terms of fantastic features in RTR 310...But with these updates, KTM Duke 390 is still much ahead of the TVS Apache RTR 310... Very hard to beat this one!!

I have one query. Is the extra panel(not sure what to call it) under the seat to increase the seat height from 800 to 820mm is available in India as an accessory? Or its only for the exports models only which comes as stock?

Its a different seat which is not available only on export models. Ktm might sell it in India as a power part

Why D250 dont have covers on exhaust pipe like D390?

Can we put leg guard on this duke? and did KTM increased its top speed compare to old Duke??? Because now it will compare to ninja top speed and r3 and other too in top speed
