For the first time ever, Yamaha has collaborated with the legendary Joy Division and New Order bass player Peter Hook to faithfully recreate his most used bass guitar. This signature bass guitar which he plays on tour with Peter Hook & The Light combines elements of his favourite Yamaha BB1200S and the Yamaha BB734A bass guitar resulting in an incredibly poignant, versatile bass guitar that really stands out in the mix; just like Peter Hook does! This is Peter Hook's sound in a bass guitar!
The Peter Hook Signature Yamaha BB Bass guitar combines elements of the BB1200s and BB734A bass guitars that ‘Hooky’ has used throughout his expansive career.
The Yamaha Peter Hook Signature BB Bass Guitar features a reversed VSP7N split single pickup for higher, punchier output.
You also have an active preamp with 3-band EQ and active/passive switch for a wide variety of tonal options. The 3-piece Alder/Maple/Alder body ensures a punchy, resonant sound that players of all genres will really appreciate.
The custom red finish is inspired by Peter Hook’s favourite BB1200S bass guitar sed throughout his incredible career.

This was a wonderful video. I love the bass, especially players like Hooky, who play high on the neck, use a pick, and use the bass as melody.
Great tones coming from that bass - you've showcased it very well!
Awesome demo, dagen 😎🤘🏻🎸 Yamaha makes such phenomenal basses. I own 3 of them and I treasure them. As for the signature bass, it sounds totally awesome. And the red finish looks real nice. 😎

Can we get a less rockstar type, AND actual bass player to demo these products please? BUT let this guy stick to the guitar demos, his energy is both entertaining and slightly annoying when picking only on a bass guitar, no fingerstyle playing, rather silly lines with no actual low end... I can't be the only one that feels this way so how about y'all mix it up with the reviews and or demos moving forward? Or maybe I should just unsubscribe now before I am forced to more of these type of demos lol...?
