Like how you use your ohm meter But if the coil dose not ohm out right the bike will not run right I don't know the readings 0n the banshee But the yz125 and yz 250 it should The coil wire and cap is at 13.35 to 14 ohm. Coil and wire 9 ohms is where it need to be lower is no good I have a cr250 video on coil Watch it If the cap is not at 5 ohms it is no good

Am I correct in assuming that the head studs are supposed to be only finger tight or snugged? Your statement left me wondering. Thank you.

Only in nickle plated cylinders. You can torque the iron cylinders down. If you torque the nickle cylinders head studs they a can bulge and even crack the nickle. You do not want your bore bulging in on your rings and piston.

When you put a motor in a test chassis, do you do a plug chop or is that bit about them bullshit?i read my plugs but have never chopped one. Does it really matter that much from outer part of ceramic to inner?

I do not do plug chops either. That just gives you WOT reads and you can do it without chopping the plugs.

Recently Did my Bottom end now im on the clutch side almost finished but, - I put my kickstarter gear on tried to rotate it and it would grab the idler gear it would hardly move is that normal? Also i tried roatating the Basket by hand ( i had the pressure plate on) and it was stiff i could rotate but very hard is there something wrong?

It sounds normal as the basket drags the crank and everything else that is connected to it. The kick gear will always grab the idle gear and lock. This is how the bike starts.

Hey Kevin. Have you ever seen a set of cases that have cracked in between the drive gear on the crank and the trans shaft that the basket goes on? I have an engine that I think is cracked and wondering If you’ve ever seen such a thing. Had a buddy throw a chain a while back and it broke his cases literally in half. One Half was trans and other half was crank and top end. From the way his busted and the way mine looks. It looks like mine is next. But the weird thing is mine has never threw a chain and isn’t whacked up. Thanks in advance. Love the videos man.

Why use Grease on O-RINGS not use Vaseline??

I’m a mechanic and have plenty of grease, I don’t have any Vaseline. Both of them work fine.

@@herrjugsracing7816 thanks for replying sir. Say, I have a 1995 all stock chassis machine, all matching numbers/title (1owner me) W/ONLY aftermarket pipes and cool head. It’s been sitting for around 17yrs. Its got 185 compression on both sides mostly because I fogged the engine before I parked it. I gave it a well deserved bath and when I took the seat off I noticed duck-tape on the snorkel tube (good idea) and the air filter looks just as I remembered.. new!! BUT when I touched it the damn thing FELL TO PIECES.. so I go to cycle craft inc where I bought it and they are NOT THERE ANYMORE (big surprise) but throttle monkey custom cycles is. Regardless but none the less got a new filter and 5gal 110fuel mixed it up 100ml to 1gal (37:1) approx. and it started rite up but the clutch isn’t disengaging so it shuts the engine down when I put it in gear. Should I just change the transmission oil and roll-start it and hopefully it kicks something loose because it was perfect when I parked it.
