Kwon Minnie it is probably because he had to translate it. With exo as well lay was known for slow reactions but it could depend probably on what he was used to at that moment. You can see lay reacting a bit slower as well but he has been in China for a while so it isn’t much of a problem fi4 him it seems. Another indication is how he pointed at his head which showed it took A while to process. You see that A lot with ppl who speak more than one language. Speaking multiple languages can influence their personality and reaction. So though it is just in A sense understanding he probably got confused because it isnt the kind of Joke they make in korean or it was different in Some way there can be many reasons in that sense But you prob got the point

​@@mayallyourbaconburn7133i can understand this, bcz i took time when my friend explain jokes in my native language, since im trilingual and when i speak to myself, its quite rare for me to speak my native language (this is happeneddue to i dont want to forget my other language), so sometimes if i went out (which i rarely went out, im really introvert) i kinda forget my native language jokes, so it do take some times for me to understand the jokes

He's so patient. Most mentors have a scary strict side but he seems so patient and is a cutie

As a half Chinese person (Chinese is my second language) I was frustrated because I did understand a lot but not everything as my vocabulary isn’t as big so I still had to put on subtitles haha

Minghao is so adorable and the ways of he talking about being cute is such a mood

He is so patient and good to the trainees, like he explains everything so well, and even tho’ being an strict instructor is great too, I think that trainees actually feel more comfortable and confident because he is so calm.

9:05 when minghao told these boys that they should dance with the same feelings to unify the choreo it reminded me of that time, at the seventeen debut project (i just re-watched it recently after a long time). the judges told them the same thing after performing shining diamond for the first time. i'm not sure what i wanted to say... wah a long time has passed ever since, they've come a long road. they've learned from their experiencies and now they share it with others. idk svt is so precious to me, i feel like i've grown beside them all these years

the first time i watched minghao before i got into a seventeen, i was like, "whyyy is he so particular abt how coordinated and synchronised they are??" and after getting to know hao and seventeen, I realised how impt it was to be synchronised and how much it adds to the effect of a dance piece- and ig coming from a hUGE grp this was smthing that is ingrained in him. SO PROUD OF OUR TRAINER HAO ~~~

as someone who do yosakoi dance (its japanese traditional dance)which require a synchronization, coordination and synchronization are really important in the group, even many teacher in my school prefer our team to be sent as representative than the real modern dance club do to our choreo look really pleasing when its synchronized, and we r loud as hell (since in yosakoi u had to shout many chant, for whole 4 minutes, we only get break for like 2-5 seconds, and all of us had to shout the chant on the top of our lung, tbh my voice isnt the same after training this dance for my whole senior high school time), meanwhile my school dance club only focus in the hard choreo but isnt synchronized at all, even as someone who ever learned hiphop dance when i was kid, it just look messy, tbh my team choreo sure quite easy than their move but we had tricky move too and if we arent in synchron it'll ruined the choreo, and at the end we win the best dancer category, which for us its better than winning the first win (since that means our dance is really good and synchronized), btw unlike our school modern dance team who compete with other highschool dance team, my tema compete with adult and college student, tbh bcz of this i actually respect seventeen more than other group, since their choreo is hard but really pleasing to my eyes, its harder to make the dance being synchronized and had hard choreo too

But can we talk about how Minghao is a great teacher. Like srsly, every other idol mentor **cough** that’s been on shows like this are always way too strict. Being strict like yea can help trainees be better, but it can also cause them to overwork and feel bad and pressured about themselves. I’m probably the worst dancer to exist, but I’m sure if Minghao trained me, I could be really good lmao. He appreciates little things they do nicely. And he makes jokes in the middle to calm the atmosphere so trainees feel more comfortable. And he gives good advice to help them a lot. That’s how a real teacher works. I’m very impressed 😇❤️

Minghao maybe seems strictly Laoshi, but nahhh he's not. He's the patience Laoshi.. if Hoshi maybe not . Uri Horangi is so strict teacher when comes to dancing. Minghao style is focus on details and doing the formation in syncs in every move . Indeed deserved of being one of most synchronized idol group, Minghao Laoshi..

Minghao is really so talented..he uses maths to perfect to choreo..pays attention to the opinions of other mentors and demands perfection in details too...

I strive to be this type of person. Patient, Positive reinforcement, Compassion, and Kindness. I don’t mean to bash the other mentors in this variety show, but some of their styles of teaching do more harm than good. This shows in the trainees under their leadership. Yeah a lot of the mentors come from a trainee environment that isn’t “soft.” However, This doesn’t excuse the fact that they should put others through the same exact thing. It gets too much when some of these mentors only point out the negatives of trainees, bash personally, and don’t point out how to fix something. This leads to burn out, mental illness, and (the worst case scenario) lashing out in public and ruining their image/credibility. Minghao demonstrates how to be good leader without the need to raise his voice, insult/threaten, and over work them. He’s learned from his training period of what works and what doesn’t. As a result makes a positive impact. Minghao, much respect man! I hope to meet you someday!

i think what makes minghao jus such a good trainer is how although he is gentle, he is comfortable enough to be honest too in a way? like, it's quite often to see idols come on survival shows & in some of those occurrences, they usually want to present themselves all gentle, but it's also common for it to come off a little awkward at times. but the8's great with his balance of straightforwardness & sort of lenient presence. he's very comfortable in appearing both ways & is super fucking honest in a way that isn't too blunt; rather, in a way that is natural. like, although quite tranquil in presentation, he's also not withholding himself back to appear rather unnatural. GOD it's so hard to word it out ... Hes just so great
