XR650L Fork Rebuild with Race Tech Springs & Gold Valves

Hello everyone! In this video Tom and Rob go over the steps needed to replace the seals, bushings, fork springs, and valving in the forks of your XR650L. We replaced our factory valving with a set Gold Valve cartridges from Race Tech that we were able to very easily customize to our specific requirements. This "how-to" video is applicable to any Honda XR650L.

Good job guys ! Been needing this on this exact bike...all my parts for my tee dub and XR650l I get from you. The timing on your XR650 was perfect as I'd just picked mine up and needed some love..thanks being a super cool parts shop !

Great video. I do have one question. You mention that measuring to the top of oil should be 130mm. I've seen other information that it should be 145mm. Are you sure about the 130mm?

That's a great question. Our specific setup called for 130mm according to our DVS sheet from RaceTech. Other riders may get different starting points from RaceTech. Also, these measurements are a starting point. You can always add more or less fork oil.
