Damn, that’s one seriously well put together demo. Love all the effort you put into changing the dipswitch photos per setting and the clearly labeled video segments. Makes it easier to make an informed decision on a pedal buying splurge. Great stuff!

Interesting! Thanks!!! I bought this pedal 3 years ago and I kept it in the standard mode (Super Lead), because in most other demo's in which they changed the dipswitches, they only showed the suggested options and in every video the standard setting sounded the best to my ears, so I never bothered to change it. But in this video I heard two other options that may solve the only small problem I (sometimes) have with this pedal. Unfortunately it's not easy to jump between the three settings I liked most. I guess I'm going to need to try it myself and see what happens. Thanks again!

My best personal choice is 1,2,4 - UP, and 3 - stays down to do not cut the mids! Try it!

Does this pedal do Clapton Beano and Cream era tones. I know the Lovepedal 200lbs of Gold does the tones but that pedal seems to be impossible to get now.

I've always run it at 9 volt. Tried 12, 15, 18... yeah, it gets loud, cleaner and bigger but 9 was my choice

hard to tell, especially now that I don't own the pedal anymore, eheh. by the way, as far as I can remember, the settings of the switches acted most as a "tone stack" sculpting frequencies more than adding less or more gain. Of course the settings with more treble and hi mid could sound alike there's more gain I'd say

Actually I have both of them. The DLS is way more difficult to deal with but it's really amp like and have a better dynamic response. Both of them don't seem able to provide low and crispy gain settings like the plexidrive deluxe does but the DLS is really good indeed when you turn down the volume knob. I still don't know which one I do prefer, still doing tests. At the moment the SL drive is on the board but for what I'm looking for (plexi edgy sounds) it seems the plexidrive works better than SL and the DLS. Both of them are gorgeous for main drive, the SL maybe sounds more like a pedal than the DLS.

@Lorenzo Marra ; I literally listened to and tried out hundreds of Marshall in a box style pedals. The best one to me was the Barber compact Drive. Have you tried it? However, the Barber Compact Drive works really well for me (like I wrote, the best of all), but I use a Vox AC15 with a Celestion Greenback. You can imagine that this could be very different when using a Fender Princeton or a Hiwatt Custom 20 for instance. It can be a looooong journey. 😁

@@lorenzo-marra ; I think I got the name wrong. This is the one I meant (there’s already a version 4). Mike Hermans did a demo of it as well, but I thought this video presents the pedal a little better. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do and as much as I enjoyed your video on the SL Drive: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hoir2NazoJzPnbg.html

@@Stump51 ehm, are you sure you watched the video with attention? all the informations were in the video and in the description... My Les Paul is a standard 50's from 2004 with burstbucker pro, the amp is a Brunetti Singleman, an italian made fender inspired amp (you can find various demo on youtube, Tom Quayle is one of the reviewer...) I still can't catch what you man by "using a computer"... it's obvious I'm using a computer to run my daw and record, I used in the past Amp sim or loaded IRs with vst (which are still great) but in this very case all the recording chain was indipendent from the computer as back in the days I had the torpedo live after the amp as a reactive load and ir loader... If you still have doubt well, sorry it didn't suit you
