Yes, that is definitely two guitars harmonized via overdub.

The best showcase of this awesome plexi in a box. There are other great videos as well ofc, but dang man this is smoking!

man...I love your demos...just to listen to you play

always a treat to listen and watch Mike Hermans run any pedal through the paces. He's the only one I can count on to get a pedal where I would desire it to produce. His sense of improvisation is a treat for any player to grasp what real music creation is all about. Anything Xotic makes is top notch in tone, build quality and decent price. These little boxes like the EP3 which I consider the best $120 you could ever spend for your guitar sound. Gonna have to grab one of these. For another treat pop over to the "alchemist" and see what Hermans does with the new AC/RC, sweet.

This demo is the main reason that I bought an SL drive and I'm damned glad that I did...so thanks for that!There is definitely nothing cheap or cheesy about the build quality...it's built like a mini tank.The tone is responsive and clear.The amount of gain was surprising...yet it is very quiet.Pleasant harmonics are waiting in every mode and feel very organic and natural.I have plenty of great OD/Distortion pedals and this little gem will hold its own against all of them.

I just love ever review video of Prymaxe. For me they are beyond just reviews, almost like instructional videos. Mike a fabulous guitar player. The SL is a killer drive/ distortion indeed. Its still in pre order stage. Am going to be buying this pedal from prymaxevintage soon.

Just got mine today... Nailed the sounds 100%. Caviat, it sounds best only VERY LOUD.

Man, if this thing is reasonably-priced and not part of some custom shop 'only 100 made" series, then I am definitely gonna have to buy one. It nails the cranked Marshall thing better than any pedal demo I've ever heard. I would love to see it compared to the OCD (which I owm).

With Xotic, TC, Mooer coming with amazing analogue mini pedals this is definitely going to be industry standard size on pedals boards in a few years.

Awesome demo! Does anyone know how the SL differs from the EWS Little Brute Drive? They seem to be kind of in the same area, but it would be great to hear from someone who's tried both. Maybe the Little Brute is a little more high gain while the SL is more classic rock-ish?

I'd be interested in this pedal if it has the same cut and clarity I get from a BB PREAMP in a live setting. I find a lot of distortion pedals sound good in a room but get buried live.

I'm hearing some Steve Lukather influences in the playing :)

It's funny. You watch a bunch of cruddy videos and wonder if it really represents the sound of a pedal. With the Prymaxe videos it's the opposite. The playing rocks so much, and everything sounds so good, I'm not sure if it's the pedal, lol. Really great job. Cheers!

Awesome playing, as usual, Mike. The second tune (the first with the Super Bass demonstration) had a kind of hot-rodded Jim Campilongo thing going on!

I see it does. Did Mr. Lollar make provide the mounting bracket? Damn it looks killer.

I wonder how it stacks with a good booster pedal. I can't help but wonder how it would react to, say, my Throbak O/D Boost being added to the signal chain (The O/D Boost is great for adding low-end punch to your tone, and I'd love to see how the SL Drive would react if you paired it with the O/D Boost for such a purpose... If they play nice together, that would be one hell of a setup with a decent amp).

Just from listening to the demos, this is my favorite of the xotic pedals. It sounds more natural than the ac, rc, bb, and bb&mb, which all have kind of undesirable metallic digital sound in the overdrive. What is different about this one internally?

I have the Xotic RC - great pedal but the switches are so close to each other that live I have a hard time, I often hit both switches when I want just one, etc. Love the tone - I may buy this pedal to drive a Tumnus and my amp.

So what amp are you guys using? Are there any other pedals besides the SL Drive? Are there any effects added after the recording?

Um both modes sound great, needs external toggle switch cause I'd use both in one set!
