The xolo looks like should be guarding the river Styx at the gates of Hades. Anubis, is a great depiction. Both have a majestic look.

Xolo is my fave🖤 I don’t think they look weird, just like a hairless shepherd or dobie. I like that they’re not aggressive. They’re kinda super cute and def unique🖤

2 male Xolos in this house! Thank you for this wonderful episode. The majestic Xolo has stolen my heart. The Thai rideback is very beautiful as well. Never zombie like, more like hell hounds IMO

The xolo is not at all an ugly or aggressive dog. My xolo is butifull loyal and affectionate.

I own a standard xolo. Love her. She is so unique and a wonderful family dog. But definitely territorial.

They are both beautiful. The Mexican hairless is gorgeous. Sleek, muscular and absolutely stunning. The Ridgeback is also a stunner. I love them both.

I bet the xolo would make a great family member

@@deniseherud Do your research. They aren't a normal dog and require a large amount of training and socialization compared to other dogs.

the xolo skin is so smooth I love it.

I have 2 Thai Ridgebacks - the biggest downsides are their strong prey drive and not being dog-friendly. Forget about off leash dog parks... Even my best-trained neutered male will totally ignore me when he sees a cat or other animal, and no amount of yelling, leash correction, or tapping him to break his concentration makes the slightest impact. Very territorial, as well. Unfortunately, ours are not well-socialized, so even going to the vet is a daunting experience. They also need a lot of exercise.

I have a Thai male , it's like having a bossy husband ! He trys to tell me what to do and acts like he doesn't hear me ! We argue all day , because he trys to talk ! He has mastered a sound that sounds like, " I love you ". People trip out when they hear him ! He does it more when he's in trouble !

@@michaelnicholson1817 Yes, but only if someone makes quick movements. I can stand talking to a friend while out walking one of them, but if my friend tries to shake my hand he growls. The second one is afraid of people, but that makes him unpredictable. Anyone getting close to our gate, they both are very aggressive. But I think it’s more so because we didn’t socialize them. My wife wanted guard dogs and now we can’t even have friends over to the house and we have to lock them in rooms when repair people come to the house.

Ironically Anubis (or his egyptian name Anpu/Yinpu) is an ancient egyptian wolf, previously thought to be a jackal. The reason the Xolo looks like Anubis is cuz they look like a statue, but Anubis had fur 🥰 that being said the Xolo is one of my favorite dog breeds and I absolutely love them. Thai Ridgeback look really cool too

Both dogs are very strange but beautiful breeds. Since you've covered the Xolo dog, you'll have to cover the Inca Orchid. Another breed which is similar in appearance for hairless breeds. Though the Inca Orchid, I've only seen one up close but not a Xolo dog. The owner was impressed at my knowledge of being able to identify it. The only reason I got it right is because Xolo was the furthest from my mind. Plus, I'm a dog lover so I've always been good at identifying dog breeds ever since my family gave me a stamp book on dogs. The rest is history. I'm always fascinated by the many dog breeds. It was the Xolo dog that became the star and perfect pick for the Pixar/Disney animated film 'Coco'.

Beautiful dogs. Xolo for me, would love to have one. Looks like some of the reported "Chupacabras".

Non of them are scary. That being said, if you just saw the Xolos yellow eyes in a Simi dark place, you would think death was coming for you

​@@pennytinklenberg3305 yep.i live Thailand and have one of them.must they liked work in farm with owner ,sit in car go to work ,guarding house,not friendly dog at all ,my dog never enjoying to have even one dogs friend!who bullying him he gonna fight without any scary 😮 of big size dogs!!he fought against Labrador & rottweiler,they can handle fight without injured!!of course I didn't let they complete fight but they doesn't afride of any big breed.strange breed I even seen.

Yes the Dogo is a very interesting breed...it’s got cordoba in its blood which was a fighting dog that went extinct ,they couldn’t get them to breed because of their love to fight 😱

I own a Toy sized Xolo(male). My first xolo and I am completely in love with the breed now. I wanted a companion/cuddle buddy and xolo is an absolute professional at it. He follows me everywhere and when its bedtime he wants nothing more than to cuddle up with me and the warmth of a Xolo cuddling against you will put you right to sleep
