Hey guys, sorry for pinning this comment on all videos but I want to give you an update on the channel. I've been slowly adding a show archive to the videos including a full transcript added as sub titles and a full track listing (with links to KZread videos for each track). Yep. I can't hear the names Ricky Gervais, Steven Merchant and Karl Pilkington spoken together without immediately feeling better. Been listening for years, after a few months away I come back and have an enjoyable binge at work.

Since I was a teenager I've listened to these podcasts, sometimes on easy days, sometimes on days so difficult I'll never forget them. Walking home from school laughing to them, on the bus at 5am after something traumatic, now I'm 27 and still, I'm listening to them, on easy days and the difficult ones. I sometimes wonder how they feel about the impact they still have and if they even care, the thing is with art is it stays with you and lives on once you stopped. And though, many will argue that this cannot be art, to me the way its lived one proves nothing but. Chimpanzee that MONKEY NEWS HE'S ONLY GONE AND WRITTEN IT DOWN THE FU- AHHH!!!

used to listen to these religiously back when I would download from limewire and transfer to my phone in the pre smart phone days when they barely had any memory so I would have to transfer a few at a time, my job at the time included a lot of travelling by car so they were a godsend when I realised i could hook my phone up to the car speakers via the tape deck with a cassette with a wire coming from it (that's how long ago it was) . A lot easier these days thanks to youtube premium but I do miss those days

I fall asleep to these. And everytime I get to this epiosde, without fail, I get woken up at 18:55

I feel the same way when Karl questioned Ricky, who said that cavemen and dinosaurs didn't exist even remotely at the same time. Karl said "well who gave the dinosaurs their names?", and I so wanted them to delve further into that insanely hilarious question! XD

Ricky says Karl wonders why people in wheelchairs don’t play swingball instead of tennis. Years later, Ricky writes a scene in Derek where a man in a wheelchair plays swingball with Karl’s character, Dougie.

I love how serious Karl takes being president, especially after he gets fed up and Steve goes, KP looks after me.

The first 10 minutes of this is such subtle satire that it strikes me that no one could say that stuff today for fear of being cancelled. Even though we all know the target of that joke was how ignorant the British are of Chinese culture, because the target was ‘Chinese people’, it would cause a riot. Imagine if we could still enjoy intelligent humour like that these days. It’s such a shame that there is essentially going to be less laughter in the world as a result of mobs of toddlers on Twitter who insist on being miserably offended on a permanent basis. It’s taken us 20 years to get to this point, hopefully it doesn’t take another 20 to get back there.

Change the title to 'Chinaman-woman born in Chinaland'.
