I actually appreciated this trailer. Those who say this trailer was too long more than likely haven't touched a Xenoblade game before. There's gonna be ALOT to this game that even a 30 minute direct on this would only scratch the surface on. If you think we know too much already then you're gonna be pleasantly surprised :)

I really don't care what people say about this game, as someone who played Xenoblade Chronicles and X, I think Xenoblade 2 is going to be one epic RPG game. It looks to be fun and hardcore at the same time.

The music in XB is consistently awesome, but i really didn't care for the sound mix in this presentation. It was difficult at times to hear the narrators clearly over the (awesome) music.

Looks like this year's "Spot the Big Bad" is going to be challenging. Especially with THIS many factions running around. Xenoblade: Come for the scenery and epic music, stay for the Plot Twists and character development...and more epic music.

wildrook Perhaps, but my first impression is that she's a stern motherly figure, worried for the well-being of her subjects and determined to keep them safe. It would be a nice plot twist if she turns out to be scheming behind the scenes. I think the "Pope" figure might be evil/ have machinations of his own or tied to Torna. Also, who's that alien-looking "advisor" accompanying the young ruler of Mor Ardain? Could be just a "trusted bodyguard" though. I guess the big questions are gonna be: -- Who's using who to what end? -- Who understands the real situation first and what do they subsequently do with this knowledge? I kinda hope it's NOT the MC duo that uncovers the conspiracy (whatever it is) first.

Honestly, the people who are expecting Smash really irritate me. Sakurai explicitly stated that Smash 4 may be his final game. A port of that game is possible, yes, but not definite. If you want a NEW Smash game, that's a whole different story. They could certainly keep making them without Sakurai, but that's gonna take a while, if it happens at all. Either way, it's a poor excuse to hate on this game. Xenoblade is a gem of a franchise that deserved to have a spotlight slot.

I was losing interest in this game, but this trailer brought me back. I'm so excited for this game now. Sure, the dub could use some work, but I think I'll get used to it, and if not dual audio is probably an option for those who want it. Everything else about this game looks incredible, and in going to do my best to get the special edition.

I was watching the direct when the Xenoblade 2 trailer came up. ALMOST all of the comments were, "ZZZZZ", "BOOORING", "Where's my smash?", and similar comments. I was both angered and saddened by this. I was angry by how people are only focusing on smash or animal crossing, and not any other game that was actually showcased. While I also felt sad during the chat when on, because it looked like I was in the minority of people who are excited about this game.

Xenoblade is probably the most underrated RPG series of all time imo. The most fantastic worlds ever, mixed with some of the most unique combat mechanics in an rpg. All topped with absolutely breathtaking visuals and gorgeous soundtracking. If 2 can follow up 1 in any way, shape or form, then it's a guaranteed GOTY contender.

In my opinion, Xenoblade is better than Final Fantasy. But there's only 2 games out so far so it's not exactly a fair comparison. But both Xenoblade and Xenoblade X are better than Final Fantasy XV at least.

the reason the lip sync is awful is because all the characters were animated with Japanese voiceovers, which doesn't carry over well to english dubbing very well. it's the reason why it looked bad in Zelda too.

That's just the nature of localization. The best they can do is write dialogue that closely fits the Japanese voice animations. That's why certain lines sound like they are paced wrong or come out in a weird way. Localizers can't just change the animations all together.

It's unfortunate that Monolithsoft is not very good at marketing their games and the trolls are sleeping on this game... Because the original Xenoblade Chronicles is the best RPG to come out in the past two decades (yes, in my opinion, it beats all the 3D Final Fantasy games that ever came out) and Xenoblade Chronicles X HEAVILY influenced Breath Of The Wild with its exploration and game mechanics which made it the masterpiece it is.

Monolith develops the Xeno- series game, Nintendo just owns Monolith for the time being.Monolith Soft also helped making Breath of the Wild too hence why its influence by X, Nintendo is the game's Publisher.

Aline Piroutek actually, NOA didn't want to publish the game at all, an online petition convinced Nintendo to allow it to be brought here, but they wouldn't finance it. gamestop stepped in to publish it themselves. It likely wouldn't have come here at all without gamestop doing what they did. It also explains why it was exclusive to gamestop.

LazyCatStudios the Xenoblade franchise is kinda like the final fantasy and persona franchises, they use the same gameplay, species/tribes to interact, monsters/enemies to fight, but they are not canonical with each other. on that note I wouldn't mind a xenoblade chronicles remake on the switch.

ah, no that was a common mistake, a lot of people thought that, because X story wise was so different from 1, but 2 has a lot of similar elements to one: titans, people living in said titan, the creatures you fight are basically the same, Nopons, but it was stated since the E3 this was not going to be a direct sequel.

3:03 Rex reminds me so much of Pit! And at 3:50 I can't help but think of the Gaur Plains theme.

Nintendo's is the one true hype train, instrument of destruction and rebirth!

Delightful to hear the voice talents of Seán Barrett! I hope he has as much dialogue in the game as he does in this trailer!

Azurda is basically like The King of Red Lions from Wind Waker. Except he's not a boat. He's a sort of sentient landmass or something like that.

seeing all the different nations is really interesting

This is shaping up to be the greatest JRPG ever, I love everything I see. I highly appreciate creativity though. A small detail, but I LOVE that loot pops out of the enemies when defeated. In a genre that has too many text boxes, and menu scrolling it is a wonderful touch, and a nice effort on their part.

Not sure if I'm gonna find this one's world/character/setting as interesting as the first, but it still looks good :) can't wait.

From what we can see so far, the characters, the different factions, different races, etc... not feeling it. might captivate me after I play :p but from what little info we have, kinda feels a vibe of some other games (cause of certain aspects) and those games were just "ok" to me, but not great.

Whatever you say man, I am just happy that the Nopon are playing an even larger role in the story and that you can have a nopon as a party member.

This trailer kind of makes me want to watch a Xenoblade documentary

Xenoblade is such an Underrated epic series, It deserves more love! Hopefully this is the one to UNLEASH it!

Man, Azurda's voice reminds me of someone doing a Mrs. Doubtfire impression.

I don't want to judge the game without playing it but, if these characters turn out to be cliche'd protagonist tropes i'll be pissed. Cast of the original Xenoblade were all amazing and made the experience worthwhile, so this game has a lot to live up to.

Nero Biblios First game is great and all but the characters could be considered typical tropes...

The concept of the games world is like a combination of Monolith's original Xenoblade Chronicles and Sega's Skies of Arcadia.

So many stellar looking games hitting the Switch in a perfectly spaced out release system.

I am absolutely freaking stoked for this game, it looks like it belongs in the Tails series with a way cooler setting which I love. I loved that game so I'm obviously okay with bad voice acting and super japanese character archetypes but I could see why a lot of people wouldn't 'get' why this game looks so cool. Can't wait for december

Most people hate anime games BECAUSE of trash like Tales. Tales are factory pumped out garbage with no creativity and usually awful storytelling. When a Tales game has a good story, like Abyss or Berseria, its literally luck. They put no effort into the games at all.

in my opinen the voice acting is good and fits

What's better than traversing 1 titan? Traversing multiple titans. Also, political story is a definite plus for me as well.

Splatoon is pretty unique too as a multiplayer game ! Love how Nintendo is releasing plenty of good games this time, reminds me when i was young and had a Gamecube with many great games !

Robin Williams has risen from the grave, in order to channel Mrs Doubtfire through Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

that game is so packed with xeno eastereggs and refferences. i´ve even seen KOS-MOS´ etherblade.

AmakoKun I love Xenoblade as much as the next guy, but it is a shame that the other two games from Operation Rainfall likely won't ever get sequels. The Last Story was really fun.

I would prefer a sequel with Zael's son.

FYI, a lot of trailers (in Japan) for Japanese AAA games are usually lengthy and in-depth.
