Most likely bc they got a good amount of practice and direction from the base game. (Main games VA slowly got better as u played the game. Rex's scream actually sounded decent towards the very end of the game.)

And to make monolithsoft look even more accomplished, they were the main studio to help out with other switch titles like Zelda BOTW, Splatoon 2, ARMS, and Kirby Star Allies.

The quality of games reminds me of SquareSoft before they became squarenix. I wonder if the Monolith Soft studio has people from the original squaresoft team that refused to join with enix. Final Fantasy 7 was a squaresoft game and before they were torn apart everything they made was golden.... Wait. Golden. Torna. It all makes sense now.

I have a feeling there's no real hero in this story. They seem to be more like a group with no real main protagonist. In all logic it should really be Addam the hero of this story and he hasn't been shown as main protagonist once and Jin isn't really either. I really think it's mostly about the 4 protagonists and the people surrounding them.

Addam's Voice Actor is Olgierd Von Everic from The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone, so you know he will be awesome! And Malos' VA deserves an Award. He chews the scenery like well-cooked filet and it'll be great to see him always at his most cocky best here.

Xenoblade Chronicles (Monolith Soft) is one of nintendo's only first party JRPG franchises. It's a brand i am sure they are invested in seeing growth. I'm not trying to compare the popularity of it to Pokemon which is arguably Nintendo's current best selling franchise. I am simply stating its a brand they would like to see expand since they clearly plan on making additional games in the future. and what better way then adding a character to smash.

Onthos likely won't appear, he was gone when the architect decided to restore life, he might come back through the challenge mode but I doubt it also wish there was a scene with Shulk and Fiora and the Architect, and maybe some interaction between Fiora and KOS-MOS, and more interaction between KOS-MOS and T-ELOS I do like the final scene with Elma it does make you feel the legacy of Monolith Soft, hope they can get the rights for a Xenogears character to really complete it

Roland Kramer, as cool as that would be, it can't be done, now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it is 100% impossible, but remember as the Architect sends Rex and the gang after Malos, Architect AKA Klaus can hear is other half Zanza about to face off Shulk, so I'm afraid it is highly unlikely for an cutscene like that, but hey, maybe there will be in a possible sequel. Who knows, I never played the first game but I watched playthroughs and look through the lore so I know what is going on. Well, this is Nintendo, they can achieve what we think is impossible.

Onthos isn't a Xenogears character, he is the final part of the Aegis trinity, I would post spoilers but I'm not sure if it would be fine, I do think as it is a comment chain spoilers aren't as taboo spoilers start here: the Aegis trinity consists of Pneuma, Logos and Onthos (Greek for Soul, Body and Mind respectively) who are better known as Pyra and Mytra and Malos and an unknown thrid, theorised to be Alvis from Xenoblade 1 as he mentioned to have been an AI overseeing the experiment that destroyed the Earth and created both Alrest and the world of the Bionis and Mechonis, which fits with Meyneth being Galea and part of Klaus being Zanza

it is also the reason we get this full of an expansion, all scenes were basically planned for the base game, at least the general gist of the story, they decided to put them out as DLC as they were running out of time and money, when working on the scenes they kept adding more and more to it to justify releasing it as DLC and having time to work on it

I have a really odd relationship with this game... I'm not a huge RPG player, but my kids got me this for Christmas last year and I have played it for over 700 hours!!!... I've never done that... It's not a perfect game, but I feel it may just be my favorite game of all time... love that you can play it however you want, and each character and Blade actually has a unique personality... It really is a game you could probably play forever and find new combinations of ways of doing things... Insane considering the small team that actually made the game... Thanks, MonolithSoft!!!

Also, the battle system in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE on Wii U had, probably, one of the best party setups of any Atlus game... That needs to come to Switch...

Well, Monolith will be doing the sequel for Breath of the Wild so I really expect big from them. I guess massive maps and I guess a couple of good DLCs Will be fantastic for BoTW2 but for that we still have to wait at least an entire year. I suspect we will have the sequel by March in 2021, more or less in the 4th aniversary of BoTW, quite unlikely sooner than that.

@@amburprice8479 The thing is if they participated or not in the DLC for BoTW. Maybe they had many ideas but finally decided to not put them in several DLCs and instead keep them for the sequel. Torna is around 30 hours long, Champions' Ballad wasn't that long and I was a bit disappointed with the DLC despite enjoying the shrines. They more or less helped Nintendo to finish the game, they didn't have the weight to carry the project by themselves like with XC2. When they were more or less finished with XC2 their workers went to work in BoTW to hopefully not delay the launch anymore. It's still soon to know about this, the trailer most likely is ready but Nintendo isn't showing anything, most likely waiting for a big future event, I guess E3 but that's quite late imo.

The only one that sucked in the main game was Rex though. His voice acting was pretty great except for his screams. Didn’t have a problem with anyone else’s screams tho.

No I completely agree there are good screams but Rex’s screams tho those are something XD

Saw the thumbnail and thought "So THAT'S where Hinoka was".
