+Monsterkiller 418 It is an expansion after all. It's naturally gonna have a ton more content than a DLC. In this case it's a standalone expansion which is more content filled than a regular expansion as well haha. One example of a standalone expansion is Total War: Warhammer II as a recent example. A standalone expansion can be almost a whole new game and that's exactly what we are seeing here. It's great. I have always been a huge fan of expansions.

It’s crazy bro, other devs could learn from this, sad that it’s coming to an end though

This DLC expansion pass has brought additional items, multiple waves of new quests, more rare blades, a challenge mode, neat rewards such as costumes or ways to craft certain items, an easy, hard, and custom difficulty, some other battle mechanics (elemental awakenings, visions, etc), and soon to come brand new story that is at least half as long as the original story, all on top of many other quality of life improvements. This DLC is among the best post launch support I have ever seen.

It's honestly a really good parallel situation. Both games were large, successful, RPGs with plenty of resources to support creating DLC, but BotW just falls so far short of XC2 here

@@mr.leroysmith7012 my personal preference is to get it after beating the story. The DLC blades are a bit broken and honestly most of the content in the expansion pass is for post game aswell such as the land of challenge and the dlc side quests even the dlc story is intended to be done after beating the game. Since you’re at chapter 9 I’d just wait till you’ve beaten the game. The expansion pass is so worth it though.

HumbleZebra Not quite. It's a physical copy of XC2: Torna ~ The Golden Country *AND* a code for the expansion pass which only works with the original XC2.

Monolith manages to fix the issues of XC2 main game and keeps delivering great content while offering help on Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion. Role model of game industry lol.

I wasn't going to get this, but the trailer got me interested in the story again. Well done, Monolith Soft.

I really appreciate the stand alone aspect of this. I've always wanted to try out xenoblade, so I might just buy this part of it.

Had XBC2 since day one. Simply amazed at how much content and support the Expansion Pass has given us. I'm guessing Torna - The Golden Country will be the last update, but so happy with what we've been given already. Now all they need to do is port XBCX over.....

Pedro Pinheiro Honestly I never did get that far in X. Didn't have a WiiU so only played it at a mates place, but always enjoyed the sci fi aspect of the franchise the most (Including Xenogears and the Xenosaga games). As much as I love XBC1/2, I can see myself enjoying XBCX the most for that reason.

I have never been happier to reward a dev company with DLC money than I am for Xenoblade 2. They are doing an awesome job with the DLC, and I'm happy to give Monolith my money. This is a stand out example of how to do DLC the right way
