Remember back when every logo had a personality. PS was a funky colorful one, Xbox was the futuristic one. Now all of them are just circles or rounded squares with no dimensions.

​@@king_james_official you're actually wrong mate. The original logos had some 3D aspect to them, other than the colors. e.g. the ps1 logo. There has been a design trend for a while of simplifying logos and making things more flat as well as less colorful and contrasting. Things, in general, used to be more expressive in their design or artistic message. However with the mass-production mentality, companies and people were trying harder to not displease anyone, so a safer (less fun) choice has been the go-to

@@me3tthebeat the ps1 logo is the same as the current one, just with more than one color. maybe what you said is true, i have no idea, i'd say that companies are actively working against pleasing anybody recently. the reason for flat color logos i can provide is actually a pretty simple one, and that's ui design. it's easier to have your brand logo in solid black/white (or as playstation sometimes does it, a somewhat metalic, "3d" material) fit on any kind of media. that's why even if you see a company like mongo, which has an almost neon bright logo with a darker shade (which appears to have been changed to a black logo on their website now, oh well), offers in their brand's press kit a version of the logo which is their neon color, black, white, and a dark green. i would provide more examples but my mind is empty now. as much as you'd like to complain that the world is going downhill and getting less "fun" or whatever, remember that things usually have a more sophisticated reason than making our lives bland

This logo is also used as a theatrical XBOX Originals logo used in the movie “Atari: Game Over”.

This has that futuristic feel we always got when starting up an Xbox.

10/10 best startup for like a first time

I miss these things, friends always make a note of the iconic boot up sequence on the PS3 when I boot it up to play some 4 player split screen, there’s always a smile in people’s eyes when they hear it.

Someone worked so hard to animate this beautiful, creative xbox logo and someone at Microsoft was like "Let's just have the logo fly in and absolutely nothing else"

I love this Startup. 10/10

The music is so calming

It's like a reimagining of the OG xbox boot up animation

This actually looks like a pretty good visual example of a 4D object moving through space.

This looks great. Its kinda funny that if this was used as the official startup animation, virtually no one would really talk about until like 10 years later when it becomes nostalgic lol.

This is way better than the original Xbox One startup, i don’t know how they could replace that with what we ended up with.
