No you dummy. That Xbox Series X is a heater in disguise. It gives out heated air from top part. So That's helpful to keep your room hot during winter season. So he placed it that way. Also hot air getting out of console is more important than looks in my opinion.

Thanks for the informative review! I'm sure there are a lot of HDMI 2.0 4K TV and gaming monitor owners out there that can only go up to 1440p for 120Hz (my Samsung NU8000 natively supports it! Yay!) so it's great to know that XSX supports the signal. 4K 120fps games are going to be limited to non-graphically intensive games like Ori and the Will of The Wisps. I can foresee that next-gen 120fps games will most likely render at or close to 1440p.

In PC gaming, display port have already been doing it for years. So we look at HDMI as a joke. The problem is most people think HDMI is better because, not everyone understands PC tech. So HDMI 2.1 is the standard for everything else thats not PC. Example: the new video cards have the new HDMI port in case you want to hook your pc to a TV and get a high refresh rate on a big screen. But when you go higher then 120hz, like 240hz, 365hz everyone use a displayport, because HDMI has just got to 120hz on 4k. (thats why its always feel like PC players are cheating, its just because we are moving faster then what you a playing your consoles on.... aka cross platform games). THE HIGHER THE HERTZ (fps are two different things, they don't mean the same), the faster you can see, move, and react with accuracy.

He finally answered the most important question. Can the series x run at 1440p 120hz on a hdmi 2.0 port. YES IT CAN, which is an awesome option. There’s alot of great 1440p 144hz monitors out there so I definitely recommend that option. Most monitors like this cost around $300-$450. I doubt we’ll see 4k any cheaper in a while

1440p can run up to a max of 144hz over hdmi 2.0b which has a max data transfer rate of 14.4 gbit/s and 144hz only needs 14.08 gbit/s. It also can run 4k up to a max of 60fps which needs 12.5 gbit/s anything higher will need hdmi 2.1 :)

One thing I want to mention is you choose the 120hz option in the xbox settings and say "120 fps mode" which isn't really true. It's not going to just run your games at 120 fps by selecting that, it's going to allow UP to 120 frames to be sent to the screen but it could be running at anything below that. Thank you. 1440p-120Hz.... That was exactly the information i was looking for. On a 27" monitor, i personally don´t see much of a difference between 1440 an 4K anyway. Higher FPS is that much more important to me.

As a student I can fit this in my dorms so all is good. I got a series x at RRP so I feel happy and I specifically chose a monitor to hook up my laptop with it for duel monitor setup for studying. It’s an investment and I may eventually consider a 4K monitor but as a student I’m on a budget :D

I see you listed the LG ultragear. Are you aware that VRR through HDMI is limited to 100hz on that monitor? Do you think vrr is important at that high of a FPS? I’d love to hear your input.
