Getting an HDMI 2.1 monitor for PS5 is good for taking advantage of all the features. If the game does not support all the bells and whistles, at least it's able to make sure the rest of the boxes are checked. It makes it nice to switch from FPS games to an adventure or RPG game.

hdmi 2.1 is not 100% necessary. You can do 120 fps 1080p or 4k 30fps with 2.0 or even 1.4 which is what 99% of games offer. There are however some cases like cod cold war where even if you can do it it wont allow you without hdmi 2.1 . That said 2.1 is indeed the best option if affordable.

Hey everyone, I just came across this video and wanted to tell you about my experience I game on PlayStation 5. I have the Dell G2724D 27inch 1440p monitor which has HDMI 2.1 and support VRR and really fast response time What I’ve discovered is although it has a HDMI 2.1 it only has the bandwidth of HDMI 2.0. VRR still works though However, it’s annoying because in order to use VRR, I have to turn off HDR and put the monitor in console mode and that makes all the graphics a little blurry So I’ve tested both VRR on and off on FPS games like COD which has 120Hz and it looks and feels faster when VRR is off It could just be me however, I think to get VRR working properly, you actually need HDMI 2.1 that actually has the 2.1 bandwidth, which only found on the more expensive 4K monitors Does anyone else think FPS games look and feel faster without VRR? If anyone knows a way to have VRR working with HDR on, please let me know, so I can test it and see if VRR will look and feel faster with the HDR graphics Also, I tried 4K 120Hz on my friends PlayStation 5 and to be honest it looked and felt slower than my old 1080p 120Hz and my current 1440p 120Hz. After doing some research, I came across a lot of people say although PS5 advertises 4K at 120Hz, it doesn’t play at that resolution and frame rate natively and I think they’re correct

    7 ай бұрын

@@Adam-hg3fb The Dell G2724D is a 1440p monitor and it has HDMI 2.1. VRR makes a big difference. Majority of games aren’t optimised to keep steady 120 Hz/fps, which means that when the frames drop during the gameplay, it causes screen tearing, which makes the game glitch and laggy. VRR prevents that from happening as it smoothens the frames when they drop and you won’t see any glitch or lagginess 1440p quality is going to be the same on all 1440p IPS monitors, so in terms resolution they’re all the same, apart from OLED of course and that’s way too expensive, so it’s down to what other connection and features you want on a monitor. The Dell G2724D is 1440p, HDMI 2.1 (although it has the lower 2.0 bandwidth, but still works fine), 1ms response time and as for game features it has the all the presets you need like FPS mode and other game modes, extreme response time mode with almost no ghosting, different HDR modes and the monitor only costs £250-£300 and you’ll probably find it on sale regularly on the Dell website

But luckily for the ps5 and series x even tho they can output 4k 120hz they really only achieve 1440P at 120HZ in most games like Call of Duty for example so this won't be over the 24gbps. If however, you were playing at 4k 120hz the Xbox and ps5 would need to slightly compress the signal which shouldn't be a huge difference vs uncompressed.

Honestly please answer this Mr KZreadr I have the same question But on another note what In the world is going on with ps5 and all these downs like I have been with Sony since the ps 2 I have own all there console even ended up with the ps1 at some point anyways I had all there consoles up to the ps4 pro ended up selling it since I need some quick cash and ended up receiving a free Xbox one console from a friend used that up to now 2023 and honestly trying to find a reason to go back to Sony I love there software and also since I want to play the exclusives like and ragnork ,miles but the way i see in terms of specs the Xbox is winning 😢Decisions Decisions I could just go ps5 and then series s that’s also a option honestly can someone help if u read this

@@mixfeelings9432 if your considering PS vs Xbox they do something’s better than the other. PS has cool tech in their controllers, though not sure how tunable it is vs the Elite 2. Specs wise Xbox Series X is better, and has a easy expansion slot via the Seagate card in either 1 or 2 TB (like $275 though🫤). Sony doesn’t have that type of plug and play expansion system, you can still connect a hub to it (same with the Xbox), but you can’t run a downloaded game through the hub, only on the main drive. Sony is able to connect Bluetooth headsets directly to the console, but Xbox can’t for some reason. Then again after reading about it, it might be because of the limitations of Bluetooth audio, and being a lower ghrtz than Xbox’s wireless connection system (2.4 vs 5.0 I think). There are some wireless connectable headsets that connect directly to the Xbox now, but they are lower end ones. I have the Corsair Virtuoso XT’s that’ll work with PC and PlayStation via Slipstream, but it won’t work like that way with Xbox, only via 3.5mil jack on the controller.😐 I guess it depends on what you want, Xbox has the better gamepass, but Sony tends to have the better exclusives, and deals it seems like. Sony as a company is terrible imo. Don’t even get me started on them throwing a fit about Microsoft trying to acquire cod saying they’ll make it Xbox exclusive when Sony has done that for years.😂🤣

Should be able to. I can’t see why it wouldn’t. Only thing I would consider is 32” on a desk is pretty big and that can get uncomfortable on a long gaming session. I personally recommend 27” as it’s still a decent size and if you’re someone that likes to lean towards a screen when you play the higher pixel density of the smaller display images will look sharper I think it’s 91 pixels per inch on 32” where as it’s 109 pixels per inch on a 27”. 4k on 32” is 138 pixels per inch.

Ok now what about OLED vs Qled😂 Man monitors are confusing lol. From what I’ve gathered is that OLED compared to normal LED or even LCD have better colors especially deeper blacks, but how do they compare to the Qled ones? It also seems like OLED’s technology/dependability isn’t there yet compared to LED, and can have dead pixels, and burn ins. Also might not be as bright as leds apparently. Though I’m guessing this all depends on the price range that you want to go with as OLED monitors, and TVs seem outrageously expensive. Oh and there’s also mini led monitors lol.
