    Since there’s no time stamps and this video is a bit lengthy, he’s basically saying the following for most people: -4K on -Allow YCC 4:2:2 off -Select the 10 bit video output setting -Select the Auto-HDR setting -Select the Standard (Recommended) setting over PC RGB And he also concluded that the failure to do these things might make your games appear blurry and pixelated, much like how private parts are depicted in Japanese Hentai movies.

  • @jjmah7

    @Get3Blocked actually yes, but only because Microsoft kinda sucks. When you set the output too high the screen looks like crap. It COULD be that the games released so far can’t handle that output as well, but for now - this does seem to be the best settings. Btw I’ve run into not one of these issues on my PS5. Even though under the hood the Series X appears to be stronger, as of right now the PS5 is the superior machine.

    @@jjmah7 I have had both consoles since launch, your delusional if you think PS5 is superior. It has less power, no auto HDR, no VRR, no smart delivery. It is useful for the exclusives and that is it. I would never buy a third party game on PS5.

  • @jjmah7

    @jjmah7

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@Mr_Zod some what you said is flat out incorrect, but nothing you mentioned have been shown to make it superior. Many of the major releases that have been released on both consoles have been performance tested by Digital Foundry, and almost all of them run better on PS5, they attribute a lot of the reasoning being that Sony made a custom SSD that is just better. All the other ‘power levels’ that are better on paper have yet to be fully realized as of now. Maybe they will be in the future, but as of now games both look and perform better on PS5. Maybe next time you should try to not look at Microsoft propaganda and look at the actual data results from testing before you spout out your bullshit.

    The CO is the only display that can use all new features. The fact that sony picked forum VRR is going to be a major issue with HDR. Better off waiting two or three years until devs get familiar with the new consoles while much better displays like micro led and quantum dot oled are out. from my understanding neither essentially LCD displays with an old display in front to increase the brightness of OLED while maintaining the deep blacks. If your going to buy anything at the moment I would get a good gaming monitor as they have been building up to this for years, which is why gsynch ultra or premium is only available on the x box series x for that reason. HDR and VRR is it going to be a nightmare for the PS5. Long video but very technical details of why HDMI 2.1 does not matter at all right now. kzread.info/dash/bejne/p3h_t5p-adWwf8Y.html

    Great video. I believe the reason that the LG does not display the 12-bit color setting is because LG OLEDs are manufactured as 10-bit panels and the HDMI 2.1 ports have the same bandwidth limitations as the Series X.

    Only trouble with Dolby vision for games is that it doesn't use gaming mode or instant game response. So its laggy af. Using Dolby vision on series x for Netflix is super delayed on the button presses.

    @@scoobyhawk9302 What do you mean? LG OLEDs have a Dolby Vision game mode separate from the HDR10 game mode. It’s up to other manufacturers to add a DV game mode too but it’s definitely possible. If Sonys don’t have it then I guess it’ll depend on whether they bring DV to the PS5 since I don’t see Sony adding a feature that helps out their competition.

    Thank for for this informative video. I would highly recommend you to switch on auto HDR to be honest. I've tried it with several games and it looks great. Some games with white text make the text really bright, but the image itself looks stunning. Halo 5 and SoulCalibur VI are great examples of Xbox One games, Lego Star Wars TCS and Sonic Generations are great examples of 360 games, and Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Fuzion Frenzy are great original Xbox examples. These are the ones I've tested to be great. Some have only looked better but not fantastic, but none of them looked worse in my opinion.
