Your first recommendation of making sure the Xbox One logo on the disc is facing left of the console worked like a charm. I swear I tried that, but then watched your video and did it again and it worked! You are the man!!!

Besides this is there an issue with not being able to sign into xbox live? I tried all day yesterday, I literally use a few passwords for everything and every single password didn't work, theres no tech support at all just really need help in this area

I was able to play Xbox 360 disc games on my Xbox series x 2 weeks later they stopped working. I’m able to still play normal Xbox one disc games tho idk why tho. Strange as if they done something to the recent update. I’ve tried to reset console done hard reset but still nothing. Any advice

Thankyou so much for this video, my MK11 wasn’t reading and i thaught my xbox was broken but i did the reset and it worked straight away. Ill be keeping these tips handy for if it happens again tho we shouldn’t have to being a new console and all haha ya would think it should just work but hey 😂

My issue is a bit unique. Only half of my discs work (and the ones that don't work are PRISTINE with no scratches or smudges). Skyrim, Dark Souls 3 and Battlefront for some reason don't work. The drive whirs then stops, whirs then stops, then eventually gives up and never reads for these discs. But when I put it Anthem, Dishonored 2 or Half-Life 2 Orange Box they work fine. I knew from the beginning which way to insert the disc. I have done restarts and full power cycles multiple times. The discs that don't work continue to not work, and the ones that do work continue to work. I remind you that all of my discs are in pristine condition. The only thing I haven't done yet is turn my Series X on its side. I will try that when I get home from work, and that will be my last ditch effort. Otherwise it'll be off to the repair shop, I guess....

@@dutchvanderlinde5293 In case you're wondering what I did to fix it, I took advantage of Microsoft's limited warranty and sent it in. They sent me a new XSX and the disc drive works with everything. If you have the means to do the same, you should before your warranty runs out.

I had mine laying horizontally when I got it and had this issue. I placed it vertically and fixed the problem. Hope that helps

Blu-ray’s work for me but not my gta copy for some reason. Works fine on my other Xbox

Whenever I take out a disc my Xbox gives some restraint then when I take it out it makes a loud noise

My unit has problems with movie playback for standard def movie DVD's All the discs it won't play are fine on standalone players. Seems their player app is the problem. HD and UHD are fine.

Putting it sideways works clutch asl🙌🏽

Will powering down the console and unplugging the power cord for a bit help the disc drive issue?
