You better be careful with that Xenon system. It's getting really hot almost immediately after turning it on given how loud the fans get. If I were you, I'd pull it apart, replace the thermal compound with a new high quality compound and perhaps replace the original GPU heatsink with a newer one that has an extended heat pipe and sink attached to it.

@@YoungMrBlue That is not even close to what GameStop does. They replace the X-Clamps with bolts and ramp up the fans to a constant 12v for no reason.

10 minutes in and came to a realisation. This video proves that I'll watch anything on KZread.

The difference in load times for the most part comes from the fact that one is offline, and the other has to fetch xbox live data on startup.

I love how passionate you sound about this badass console especially with its older dash

I cant tell really well but it seems like a fake trigger for E74. But i do recommend putting new solder with quality thermal paste like some arctic MX4

i love that video bro, keep up the work and take care of that good ol' xenon! i do love the blades dashboard and i'd love more video like this, i do appreciate your content and here's a video idea: Make a POV video, you're in 2007 and you turn on your 360 for the first time, i would totally watch it

Good idea! Unfortunately I don't have this Blades console anymore. Buuut I do now have an NXE dashboard system, so maybe a 2009 version could work!

I've just got an Xbox 360 S model with the final version of the 2008 NXE dashboard (2.0.9199.0) before the Kinect dashboard replaced it, and yes, it has the OG 2005 bootup screen like your Xenon model. I'll try to capture footage of the dashboard as much as I could (based on the older versions I downloaded) before I update it since I can't play backwards compatible Xbox games without a hard drive. Also, my Xbox shuts down immediately as soon as I push the power button or hit Shut Down from the dashboard (of course, without any disc in the drive).

dang, you're lucky to have nxe on your slim, do never update it! some early slims that were manufactured earlier than november 1, 2010, would have nxe so that's a good find and luck! hope all is well

Oh wow I always wondered why the 20gb hd was miss colored from the rest of the 360.

I play on a Xenon 360 with the Blades dashboard! I have about 800 Gamerscore and everything about it is joyful. From the nostalgic and futuristic startup screen to the swish of the Blades. From setting up a custom theme to the affordable games, the 360 is my favorite Xbox console even beating out the Series S/X. I play games like Madden, NHL, Sonic, Arcade, and even a couple of FPS games from time to time. Had the console for 8 months now and I haven't had any issues! Fingers crossed that it lasts considering the reputation.

Do you have any officially backwards compatible original Xbox games to test on the Xenon & Jasper Xbox 360? I would like to see what the differences are, if any, between the two models.

There isn't any difference. Every 360 plays a large amount of Xbox games, and plays them the same way. As long as you have a hard drive attached

i got my Xbox 360 core last Christmas an sadly it didn't have the blades it had the first version of the last jtag dashboard an my core was made in 9-11-2008 an did i mention you can watch live tv on them still?

If You want To keep the original Dashboard “Blades”, You better be carefull, Cuz Fun fact: Microsoft actually hided Updates, in The newer, Xbox 360, so You Might not be buying the newer discs And, be carefull that you dont Update the blades one Cuz, U Can dp it VERY! Easly Another actual real Nice awesome fun fact: I still have the original xbox 360 from 2005 But Got it in the year of 2008, AND ITS NOT UPDATED!!😁😁😁😃😀😄😅😂🤣😁😆😎😜🤪😋😛😝😌😊 So keep it up BOI!

@@IntellitechStudios I mean you could remove the adapter and get at least 1080i or 720i from native component i think, how high can you get from the converter? Can you get native widescreen from it? 1080?

How are your Xbox360s so guiet i have an elite and pro and i changed the thermal paste on them and they are still loud

Do you know if I could copy my existing Xbox Live profile via USB to a Blades 360 and have it recognized without triggering an update?

As long as you're not online, yes, but newer games wouldn't work

The faster boot times may not be entirely because of older software, but it may actually be the board revision! In my experience, Xenon’s boot faster than any other board.

That xenon is definitely a jtaggable. I own 1 512mb jasper jtag and a 256mb Jasper on the blades(it's jtaggable). That Jasper is a v1, v2 models were after June 2009 when they patched the jtag hack. My 256mb Jasper is a very early model from late 2008.

I miss the blades dashboard, now we have dashboards filled with annoying ads that aren’t very easy to get to what you want to do.

If you were to connect the blades dashboard Xbox to the internet, would it update to a newer dashboard?

bitty lilly note: do not leave network on a old 360 for too long or micro$hit will auto update your console, but if you'd like to uninstall the xbox live update go to system > storage and press LB, RB and X multiple times until you get a pop up, and press yes

I'm trying to convince Xbox to turn Xbox live back on for all the older dashboards and making it easy to access and change the dashboard you can support me plus we might need to ask them to update avatar and Kinect to the older dashboards let's pray, ask, and support
