So basically the reason why Evan really wasn’t in the movie was because they didn’t put in the deleted scenes and he happens to be in all of them

The definitely should’ve kept the part where Raven told Hank that she wanted to talk to Jean and not to shoot her. It would’ve justified Charles’s actions in stopping Hank to give Raven a chance!

That Charles leaving scene really needed to be kept in! I love the scene with him at the graveside too - i wish they would leave in deleted scenes too...

So your telling me, they fucking got rid of all these good scenes which would have made the movie a lot better for the most part.I can't believe quicksilver also had more screen time in these deleted scenes which really makes me annoyed because I honestly would have loved to see more quicksilver in the movie

After the fiasco of phase 4 and the beginning of MCU's phase 5, I am rewatching all X-Men movies just to realise how underrated they are.

the movie was messed up bc Disney had to ruin everything. It would’ve been the most accurate to Jean and the phoenix force but Disney said it was way too similar to captain marvels movie and apparently it was copying the movie. But it was made and was gonna be released before captain marvel- so they had to re-do the whole movie and this is what we got. It would’ve been amazing and spot on to the phoenix saga but Disney had to mess up everything.. there’s a whole article about it. Thanks a lot Disney!!!!!🙄

So to let everyone know about that “Charles Says Goodbye” scene... I’ll explain it as best as I can. The original ending had to be reshot entirely. Originally, this film was supposed to be 2 Parts Dark Phoenix and the 2nd part of that story. In the original ending, Jean becomes the Phoenix and flies to space destroying the Skrulls. We see Scott joining Magneto because he lost Jean and Charles closed the school. Part 2 would’ve taken place after a few years or so and Jean comes back to earth. Because Disney bought FOX at the time, FOX had to reshoot the ENTIRE ending to make sure it didn’t match up with another Marvel film, Captain Marvel. Honestly this ending was a lot better then what we got. I wish somehow we could see where this film became such a mess.

Singer had to be careful Bc MCU owned the quicksilver character and Wanda... that’s why you heard peter instead of pietro. It’s sucks to be honest... but since the mcu has the xmen... maybe we will see a flashback of magneto pietro and Wanda all together on Wanda/vision.

Originally, the Dark Phoenix movie did not end with the train scene. The ending was great, where Jean destroys UN building and goes to space and becomes in the form of the Phoenix and destroys the aliens army As for the X-Men, they are on Earth defending UN and humans. The reason for this is that the Captain Marvel movie ended in the same way, and Disney tell fox to change the scene, even though Dark phoenix originally came before Captain Marvel. Although the Dark Phoenix comic is like this, Disney wants to show its Marvel movies better

Dark Phoenix is a mess beyond repair. And y’know what? I would’ve been a little more patient with it, if they had just kept all these scenes in the final film. They add so much and yet they cut them out.

You can blame Disney for that. This was to be a 2 part movie and alot of elements from captain marvel which Disney wanted to use. If you look at the scene where they all got captured, the police are wearing MCU badge on their arms. Disney had a strangle hold on the movie

Me As a teacher..... Charles really did more than any other mutants! Its about guiding them, to be a better version of themselves, respect powers/talent etc What we teach/show... Money/knowledge/power

I heard they were also going to the the actual Phoenix storyline with the hellfire club and emma frost. The movie wouldve been amazing.

Yh she must still be alive coze if i readed it right then after dark phoenix she went to space to kill the skrulls(captain marvel) her enemy orsomething but i also readed there was a change so am not sure atm but pretty 100% sure jean is not dead at all she just went full phoenix form even most ppl think she died coze the full phoenix form did make a nuclair explosion

They should have had the extra Peter scenes what’s wrong 😑 with them

some parts of this movie where great like all the scenes with magneto i feel are great same with quicksilver they deserve better there own movie or even shows , together or separate but it just sucks to have these great character and see them sort of go to waste by bad writing and stuff it's just sad x-men deserve better!

All of these scenes would’ve made the movie more epic. I enjoyed it but man this would’ve made me feel for the characters but it would’ve been a long movie. Worth it tho

i really liked this film, yes it had story and character development issues but the futurism-based look is like the ultimate version we all craved for. that darker tone similar to DOFP.

I bet the original and extended cut would be as good as first class and DOFP were

These were the finest points in a movie that could’ve prevented the reshoots disaster. Shame on Simon Kingberg for couldn’t fit it all in the movie. Especially, James potential ending that could’ve ended a franchise or rise from the ashes in the MCU.

Days of Future Past changed the timeline, it wasn’t guaranteed Raven was going to live in this new timeline. No Mag/Quick storyline. She didn’t die, she transformed into the Phoenix and apparently came back to earth later. No sequel. This universe is dead and will be rebooted by the MCU.

Prior to the Disney buyout of Fox Dark Phoenix was going to be a two-parter but when the buyout started they decided not to do two movies and disney had made them change some things in Dark Phoenix cause the 3rd act was similar to Captian Marvel (2019) even though Dark Phoenix was originally going to be released first in early 2018 before being delayed

What bothers me with this scenes is that none of them are about what should have been central in this movie, Jean's arc, none of them add anything to character that was seriously underdeveloped as the main protagonist AND title of the movie

Good movie, except for Raven's death, and whoever the aliens were (Shiar?). LOVED the train battle especially with Storm finally being Storm. Needed some decent full-size Phoenix bird shots though, where she grasps an enemy with her/its claws. I've got all of the original comics.

After the endgame, we will see another epic battle, but unfortunately it didn't happen because of the Captain Marvel movie. So Dark Phoenix got a bad score. Damn

Because that was the original ending before they had to change everything because "Captain Marvel". In the original version Jean goes to the space to go full phoenix and destroy the skrulls, also she never returns. Scott joins Magneto because after loosing Jean, Charles closes the school and leaves because he feels very depressed. He feels that he failed everyone and that he must put an end to his story. Also the original idea was 2 films, Dark Phoenix and the second part with Jean returning to the earth, but Marvel bought Fox that's because we will never see what happened.

She was originally instead of Selene, but her actress was not available. Also I'm glad it was no Psylocke, I didn't like Selene's death, I would have hated to see Psylocke die like that.

It was at the end of the original cut before Disney messed with it, the x men/ magneto and his genoshan mutants get captured by the mutant containment unit, then there’s a whole final battle at the UN building and afterwards Scott goes to get them back after they’ve been released, if you like I can link a video explaining the whole Disney messing with it if you like? #ReleaseDarkPhoenixUNCut

A modified car would have an option to control the accelerator, brakes, and clutch with your hands instead of your feet, they make them they're just expensive and less common than having someone else drive.
