Im pretty sure "absolute points...in every timeline" means that every timeline has absolute points, not that 1 point has to happen in every timeline. So christine can live in some, die in some, and not overlap

Agreed. The absolute point is conditional. For Dr Strange it was the moment that inspired him to learn magic and become sorcerer supreme. For the 616 universe it was losing his hands, for the what if universe it was losing Christine. So pending the reason Dr Strange studied magic is that universes own absolute point.

I’m not a huge fan of your channel’s theories but this one goes a bit too far. It would be a massive stretch (and mistake) to make the animated universe connected to the live action version apart from some obvious inspirations and homages. Also, why does everything needs to be connected to the “all powerful MCU”? The MCU is not a pinnacle of quality and we just have to accept that 97 is “just” a sequel to a very successful 90’s animation where Wolverine is not the protagonist. It almost sounds like if that’s the case, Marvel Studios had a plan all along which is absolutely far from the truth on most cases. Let’s see how it goes in Deadpool.

Dude, the showrunner said that won't have any time travel stuff to revert Genosha, it would be TERRIBLE and destroy the emotion of the story. X-men 97 and Spider-verse don't need to be a literal part of the MCU, the easter eggs and references here and there and use of similar concepts are more than enough.

For the love of god, keep this separated from the rest of the MCU. Not everything needs to be connected. It's tiresome at this point. I'm enjoying X-men 97 because all I have to worry about is the X-men. It's not like the MCU where I have to watch a dozen movies and a few TV shows just to know WTF is going on.

You don't even have to go that far to connect dr strange with the X-Men. It's confirmed spiderman and X-Men crossed over, and Dr strange also appeared in Spider-Man, so THOSE characters all share a world. Also X-Men time travel is different from all others.

still not so excited after hearing about the cast announcement of the new FF movie. I'm only looking forward to the X-Men 97 (and hopefully other continuations of old Marvel cartoons) because of how accurate they are to the comics and of course, the writing

My head canon is that these absolute points in time/canon events are what defines a specific universe. What separates it from the other universes. Therefore, if you prevent that event, the universe is no longer defined.

You don’t know the TVA wants Wolverine. You know Deadpool does. Maybe to help him fight the TVA.

No, in the previews, it clearly shows the TVA recruite deadpool. We still don't know if this is the TVA in the MCU universe. Loki only controls the MCU TVA. That means patrolling all timelines within the MCU.

This is a very interesting theory, but I still think that Wolverine will lead to the destruction of his world by killing the rest of the heroes, just like in the comic book where he was manipulated by Mysterio.

I seriously doubt that the xmen we've seen will see in the MCU are going to be based off of 97 especially logan he from a different timeline . I would be shocked if we didnt see some xmen 97 representstion in secret wars.

I hope the Wolverine in D3 is the one from X3, but he chose not to kill the Phoenix. He does that epic march towards her, and instead of stabbing her they kiss. The Phoenix goes on to wreck everything and then f off into space. Then everyone who is left alive is like "Way to go Wolvie, WTF!" Then he meets Deadpool, who is like "I get it. I f'ed my timeline for the woman I love too. Now let's go kill some TVA agents."

I still haven’t seen anyone talk about if in Episode 6 right after the intro that the Watcher makes a possible second appearance. Maybe he interfered in Charles’ Astro projection class to get him to go back to Earth??

Christine dying in his timeline is his absolute point to become Doctor Strange, like in the Other timeline him hurting his hands was the absolute point for him to become Doctor Strange.

The universe needs Strange to be an active part of the multiverse. If he settles down with Christine he retires as Dr Strange. He is just Steven. Steven cares for his family not saving reality.

I believe a future episode of "What If.." will be, more or less, an extra episode of X-Men 97, where Wolverine takes Bishop's / Forge's time travel device back and.. it covers the actual event of Wolverine stopping the Sintenal-kaiju, ending with the TVA pruning Wolvie, probably after a long hard fight.

Wolverine barely stopped prime sentinel’s that was human size and flesh. He wouldn’t survive a wild sentinel that attack genosha! The absolute point is genohsa event has to happen and remy has to sacrifice himself to save who was left. Bishop not having cable as a child is the right play. If he did then cable would have known the exact date to goto in the 1950’s to locate nimrod goo that slipped into bastion ear! Also the show runner said bishop is not coming to save the day with some time travel shenanigans. Just accept that remy aka gambit is gone forever. Well unless apocalypse resurrect gambit and makes him a four horseman

seems like reed richards level of stretching in this one. the deadpool and Wolverine director was pretty clear when he said no one was going to have to do homework to understand the movie. this is a pretty big indication that this wolverine is a completely new wolverine than what we've seen, rather than some huge convoluted link to the xmen animated series from 1992.

This video is a huge reach after watching episode 9 of '97.

I think it would be funnier if Wolverine in Deadpool keeps making references to every time line (poking fun at how disjointed it all is) and Deadpool constantly questions it. Dont even try to make sense of it. Just everytime Wolverine has an emotional monologue explaining backstory (like Deadpool says he’ll do in that diner scene) he just goes “wait… but what? That doesnt explain anything” Like how in Wolverine origins he met Gambit in the past. But in Xmen 97 he meets him again, many years later, and he hasnt aged a drop.

Look, I love the channel and I'm not trying to be rude when I say that I had to stop the video at the 4:50 mark because a big part of this theory is based on stuff that hasn't happened yet and it seems like a bit of a reach at best. Deadpool & Wolverine is clearly going with a version of Old Man Logan but instead of Mysterio tricking Logan into killing the X-Men, it's Cassandra Nova who does so.

It’s a great theory, but I think y’all are forgetting that to break an absolute point requires an almost unattainable amount of power. Some of the most powerful sorcerers couldn’t break an absolute point

​@@cat8506 he actually did stop the absolute point, he gained enough power to reverse her death by the end of it, but doing so created a paradox that caused that universe/timeline to die/implode. The paradox is that he used his power and the time stone to have her survive the crash, but he wouldn't have ever gone on to study the mystic arts had she survived the crash, which gave him his increase in power and access to the time stone in the first place. Unlike creating a branched timeline like what might happen normally through scientific multiversal travel, using his power and the time stone he created a paradox within the timeline, thus killing it. But if you're powerful enough to sense the Watcher then you are probably also able to survive the death of a universe.

I like the idea that this is a Wolverine that failed at days of future past than Genosha. Maybe as that world was ending Blink opened a portal for Wolverine and teleported him to another universe to try to help them.

In the universe, Stranger's heart belonged to Christine and in the 616 universe it belonged to his profession. Thus there are Christines out there. 😅

The main problem with the theory of the Wolverine from Deadpool being the Wolverine from 97 is that if 97 wolverine destroys his universe in the end of this season, what will the next 2 already confirmed seasons of 97 be about?? I like all the theories, guy, but I’m pretty sure the Wolverine in Deadpool is just another wolverine variant, not the 97 variant

In multiverse of madness we see America and Strange tumbling through realities and one of them is animated. I think it's safe to assume the animated universe exits apart from the live action characters. That being said, I bet the Deadpool Wolverine will be from a universe that's adjacent to the animated one, much like the illuminati in MoM and The Marvels end credit scene. I think you're right to assume Marvel's left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. But if they were trying to fix that, creating similar stories across their properties would help everyone keep track without having to actually be "the same" timeline/universe.

This wouldn’t work. First the show’s creator said no time travel to fix the situation in the show. Also the main villain for Deadpool and Wolverine is Cassandra Nova who seemingly has a connection to Wolverine. Unless she appears in X97 then maybe, but I doubt it.

I hope they keep the 97 universe completely separate from the MCU, Fox, and 616 universes. Let it be its own thing, it already has a lot of rich characters and stories, plus all of marvel baked in

In Loki season 2 it wasn’t an incursion more so the timeline was getting reset by Kang fail safe to reset the timeline when it gets out of control. He had Ramona go back on the sacred timeline and leave a younger Kang the TVA hand book so the events of his life would happen again. Spaghetti action was happening at the end of time once the loom failed thus causing a reset of the sacred timeline.

Hey what if the death of Jean Grey in Last Stand is an absolute point in time, and because wolverine and the rewriting of time in Days of Future Past created the death of Wolverines universe. Maybe He created the event/ incursion by his actions from Days of Future Past?

MOM showed us that these cartoons are on their own separate universes as well, not a mix of a movie but a stand alone universe. So it could be a Wolverine that went through similar things but it cannot be the same Wolverine 🤷

It’s a pretty good show, you should watch it. It’s not marvels only good work they have other things too. I think you’ll enjoy them. A lot of it has to do with time travel and various timelines so sometimes nothing makes sense but hey time travel.

Sinister gave Madelyn to Charles & Eric to remove suspicion and when you try to say he'd read her mind, he couldn't in the Savage Land, nor did he due to his shame because he was forced to telepathically call the X-Men into a trap. Even the idea that Hair down & ponytail! Part 2 then, shows both Jean with Gambit & Cyclops in the cell, in uniform followed by Madelyn in the clothing Jean was abducted! Sinister is working on cloning and gene science to transfer powers not just disable them in Magneto’s old Savage Land base. And now before you say, that isn't enough evidence, Logan didn't know the difference between Jean & Morph during the Nasty Boy kidnap in Part 1.

I think it would be a problem. S good amount of people that have been watching the MCU are not going to watch the cartoon. So if this is the plan they need to catch us up in the movies somehow.

Really fun video, but you kind of answered one of your own questions about the TVA. If there are multiple timelines in a universe and each universe has absolute points in time, it would stand to reason that each universe has the potential to build their own TVA based on the iterations of Kang/Loki that exist in the various timelines of that universe. The TVA we see in the trailers for Deadpool could be one where the events of the Loki series never occured. Or one where the TVA was founded and the sacred timeline was defined by someone else entirely. Maybe in that universe the Tennessee Valley Authority got a huge budget and vastly exceeded their mandate so now they are the ones pruning variants and recruiting Deadpool to ensure environmentally responsible agricultural and industrial development in the Tennessee Valley. I personally think that would be a more fitting explanation for a Deadpool movie because no one would see it coming.

97 will end on a big cliff hanger with the team being divided. Some join Magneto and some join proffesor Xavier. Beast/cyclops/cable/sunspot/rogue are on team magneto, morph/jean/nightcrawler/storm/Jubilee/forge are on team Xavier, wolverine and Bishop goes solo. Wolverine gets captured and gets his Adamantium torn from his body, charles erases magnetos mind which causes Onslaught to come in season 2.. all a part of Bastions big master plan for mutants to destroy themselves from within.. season 3 Apocalypse comes to finish the job

As long as you preserve the outcome of the event you wish to change, altering the timeline is possible. If your parents dying in front of you is a major event in your timeline. You can go back and fake their deaths and whisk them to the future with you. Because you’ve kept the event cannon, the timeline will accept your edit.
