Not only is he talking about dropping them but He’s saying if they or someone else in power tries to force mutates back toward extinction we will undo all they good he’s willing make with them.
I've never thought that I would enjoy this episodes so much... With really deep themes that are always current... They were perfect

I really love that Cyclop’s eye beams are shown as concussive, kinetic forceful blasts as they should be and not laser eye beams like so much X-Men media has done before. Having just finished your Snikkt Snikkt rewatch, it really draws attention to how misunderstood Cyclop’s optic blasts are by most directors.

Magneto speech was so powerful. And Storm letter brought me to tears
I have been saying this since what if came out. Marvel needs to double, triple and quadruple down on animation. Xmen 97 is proving me beyond right.
I hope the writers of this write for the live action Xmen content in the MCU as they truly do seem to understand the dynamics. Skills tone/ mood ,and overall character of the Xmen.

Ororo being a boss in the desert gave me CHILLS!
As much as this is great nostalgia, the level of detail is what does it for me - Magneto's speech and the tear that rolled down his eye, the way Scott uses his powers to propel himself, the acknowledgement of Storm being Omega level - clearly made with love and bu fans

When Storm did the glass tornado my initial reaction was literally "I see Storm unlocked 9th level spells that's always fun."
Anyone else catch Cyclops' eyes visible behind his visors and uou cant track his emotions and leadership. In two episodes they really made him a strong and tragic leader who has to choose between continuing Xavier's legacy and starting his own family. They knocked this show's premier out of the park and im here for it
I noticed that Jubilee and Sunspot both have powers that glow in Kirby patterns. It's nice!
"Give them the forecast!" Omg i was so hyped there.
"Helfire Gala" isn't just a reference to the Hellfire Club, but they are specific state diplomatic events during the Krakoa Era of the comics. During the second Hellfire Gala, the mutants terraformed Mars and psychically broadcasted it to the world!

The first 2 episodes were incredible!!! I absolutely loved this season premiere kick-off! I wasn't born in the '90s but my father kept a bunch of VHS tapes with a lot of the old X-Men: The Animated Series episodes on them and I grew up rewatching those same episodes as a kid. The action was fantastic, and I'm really digging the new animation style for the show. I just binged the entire original series, and I gotta say that this is a significant step up in terms of animation quality, of course. All the characters are just as charismatic as they were in the previous series, if not even more so. Hearing some of the classic voices return for their roles in this Revival series is so heartwarming and nostalgic. I'm also really digging the new blood when it comes to the new additions to the voice cast. The new voices for Gambit, Scott Summers, and Jubilee specifically sound really great and worthy successors to the original voice actors. I'm really loving what they're setting up for the overarching story of the season. I can't wait to move on to the next batch of episodes as soon as they release. Everything feels like a significant step up to a lot of the great things from the original show and this is clear proof that the people who worked on the show are true X-Men fans in grew up watching the original animated series. Ultimately, though, this awesome premier batch of episodes really reminded me how much I missed the X-Men as a family. It's been awhile since I really delve into the world of the X-Men like this and honestly I'm glad the show came out to reunite the fire I have for the X-Men that's some of the old fox movies might have dampered a little bit. Marvel's/The MCU's first crack at the X-Men was done masterfully, in my opinion, and I can't wait to see more! 10/10 Premiere for this show! 🎆✨️🙌

I enjoyed the first class movies for the most part. I watched the animated series with my best friend every Saturday morning even though we weren’t sitting together. Nothing will ever top the first time we saw Jackman on the screen. Both of us were low key giggling the whole time. It was great.
I love the Jean and Storm friendship they are true bffs
Nobody talking about how Cyclops was sliding with them beams. He got the DLC move update.
Love these two episodes ❤️❤️ The intro brought me back!! Hope Feige does the justice in the MCU
They stayed true to the source material
It seemed to me that when the X-men are fighting the sentinels, it looks like Rogue does a stone cold stunner on one of them and then tossed the head at another sentinel. It would make sense as he started using the stunner mid 96 and started hitting his peak popularity around 97.

Jubilee dancing with Sunspot immediately reminds me of the X Men Evolution scene where Shadowcat and Rogue were dancing. The animation was so very fluid for such a simple scene
I feel like the first image we get of baby Nathan in the crib was a bit of an homage of his powers since we see the items from the mobil floating above him but dont see theyre actually part of a physical mobil till it changes to an angle from below. Nate Summers' powers are the same as Jean's but taken to the extreme. His only drawback is that after contracting the Techno Organic Virus in the future, his abilities are near constantly taxed or in use due to holding back the infection, which is why Cable rarely if ever uses his mutant abilities, rather relying on tech and fighting talent.
I loved it. Brings back memories. I love how they are diving into the Madeline Pryor storyline. Great cliff hanger.
I’m not sure if it was on purpose, but when Nathan is born and Scott sits down, he blocks out Nathan’s left eye, which would be the eye effected by the techno-virus
These were deasly episodes!!. I can't wait to see how they work Storms powers back in
Ron Wasserman wasn't credited on Dr. Strange 2 either, just Saban and Levy, so that crediting will likely prevail in other projects should Wasserman's theme be used again, which is likely. This isn't fair of course and you'd hope it would change
Those blast slides across the room cyclops was doing were sick. Along with the landing out the plane.
I’ve been looking forward this breakdown all day!! I love New Rockstars!!!
"I cannot feel the breeze." Damn that hit hard, he basicly paralyzed Storm I did not think until I saw this video that Magneto could have known about the shot due to a secret agenda to either make the x-men and the world believe his turn or to sway the x-men to his views.
as a father myself we knew who was gonna deliver our baby, but maybe wolverine had no idea and just drove to the closest hospital
43:08 one of my favourite moments 😂 seeing Morph wholesomely smile as Sabretooth knowing he’s got through to Logan that way
Yet no one mentions that Madelyne Pryor has to be the one who is pregnant rather than Jean Grey? Cable is the son of Scott Summers (Cyclops) and Madelyne Pryor, not Jean Grey. So that has to be Madelyne Pryor. Can't wait for the Inferno storyline.

I cannot believe we got all of that in just the first two episodes! My mind is blown!
You didn't mention how the theme song itself is different. In the original animated series, there was something that sounded like a church bell going off at the end of each "verse". That was absent in the themes of the first two episodes of '97
26:00 Something, a very small detail that I noticed, was as Magneto levitates the book over to Scott, you can see the metal corners of the book glow showing how the book has even just a slight hit a metal on it and establishes what part of the book Magneto was able to manipulate.
I love how everyone kind of got an upgrade. Great action sequences. Great start!
