X-Knight 35 HD Review & Flight

What do you think of 3.5-inch as a way to stay under the 250 gram threshold for DJI FPV freestyle? The X-Knight 35 HD is BETAFPV's entry into the category. In this review, I'll show you what it can do and tell you what I like and what I don't. Links and discounts below:

If it doesn't look like mid-November in the footage, that's because it wasn't. Yeah... it takes me a while to get around to editing videos sometimes.

A very awesome job on the review and the flight as always Nate. I have 2 quads with the caddx polar cameras on them one is a 2.5 inch the other is 3 inch my DJI googles are the v2 which is low latency it doesn't let me switch to high but it does still work very well on both polar cameras.

I wanted to build a 3.5 freestyle quad so the 1st thing I did was find a cheap frame on Amazon. I had no idea it was this exact frame. So I bought a clone frame I guess. I have a Skystars F405 40a AIO, Vista but with the original metal DJI camera so I have the low latency mode (I'll probably swap it out with a Nebula nano Pro camera), elrs 915mhz receiver and right now I have to decide on motors. I have some 1404 3500kv motors that came on a Crux35 that I only bought to steal the Vista out of, some 1408 Xing 4100kv, & I have on order some Xnova 1804 3100kv. I'll try it out with the 1408, but I'll try the 1804 when they get here.

Hi Nate Here's the problem with this quad. I can't afford DJI. But I really like the quad. I have a couple of 4in that I have 3.5 props on them. And I like them. Thanks again for the video and information.

@@johncarold So, as u can see, you have plenty of assets to be able to afford going DJI digital! Easily! Here's how: You go on Facebook Marketplace and you post you goggles, and everything you listed above for sale. Maybe keep the one analog quad you love the most or that you can see that can easily be upgraded to digital with a Vista. Everything has gone up in price with the chip shortage. That makes everything worth more than you maybe think it is. Kinda forget what you paid for everything. Look at what RDQ and Banggood are charging for your gear new. Take $50 - 100 off new price and sell your goggles for that. Start high, maybe $50 less than those stores, because you can always go down, but not back up! If you know something is old and not very good, sell it cheap to get your money out of it... Whatever they will pay. Important! Obviously, Christmas is coming, so it's a perfect time to sell it. I'm doing this myself. My friend does this all the time to change his gear... Too much, IMO! LOL One thing for sure, you'll be surprised by how much you'll be able to get for gear. Watch for sales on the DJI V2 Goggles and Caddx Vista, though they rarely go on sale. To get started, all you need is $570 for goggles and a minimum of $140 for Vista with Polar Nano. That's $710 total, and you'll get to that pretty damn quick after you start selling stuff. START TODAY! 👍 Black Friday is almost here. Be sure to negotiate with people, of course, and make it HAPPEN! YOU'LL BE SO GLAD YOU DID! Digital FPV is MIND BLOWING! Especially the penetration! It's amazing! 🤯😎🤘

I got this frame kit and i made a analog version . The frame is pretty strong but after a few crashes the carbon layers are splitting apart on the arms.

I don’t have any experience with the DJI FPV drone myself. From what I hear, I believe your goggles and radio should work but I could be wrong.

3.5" would be really nice on a toothpick style quad using high KV motors like 1404-5000 or similar. I might try it on a 4in AmaxInno Nano.

@@yannickg6904 Yeah, I felt it requires higher KV than the traditional 1407/8 has to offer. Even with that it sitll feels more like a 2" than a 5" quad. Lacks the stability which is odd considering only half an inch up does it great.
