Internationally acclaimed musician, trumpeter, and composer Wynton Marsalis wrote his Tuba Concerto with Philadelphia Orchestra Principal Tuba Carol Jantsch in mind. He and Carol sat down to discuss his composition process and her performance.
The Philadelphia Orchestra gave the world premiere performances of Marsalis’s Tuba Concerto, December 9-12, 2021.
