Principal Tuba of the Philadelphia Orchestra since 2006, Carol shares her extraordinary journey from winning the position in Philly while still a senior at the University of Michigan (and not getting into Tanglewood that same year), to forging a path as a tuba soloist, forming her tuba/euph cover band Tubular, starting a non profit called Tubas for Good to help students in Philadelphia get quality tubas and of course, winning a tuba throwing competition.
