Omg wyatt looks to have learned the job already. Struggled abit with the first few but then got into his groove by taking out the last ones in epic time.

This was sooo cool to watch! Look at the water bubble over the special fur and undercoat. So amazing to watch these animals do what they do naturally, but enjoy doing it as a partnership with their handler. Super awesome!!

Wyatt is such a little hunter! Great prey drive, and so responsive to your training! I notice that his coat doesn't dry out when he shakes, like a mature mink's coat does - is that because he's young? maybe has a "baby" coat? Thanks for sharing this Joe!

I've noticed before that different mink have not only different personalities, but different proficiencies. Wyatt seems to be an excellent fisherman; have you tried him out on mice or young rats yet? Be interesting to see what else he might be good at.

Have you tried moving the crate around? I could see how he would get comfortable with knowing to cache in the same exact spot. Moving it while he is in the water might train him to look for it, cuz when you are actually hunting he can’t go from habit

Very impressive. That's an interesting setup where you might be able to see is some of the mink are born more coordinated than others. Also it probably builds confidence to open their eyes underwater where in a dirty environment the eyes would be more irritated from pollution.
