The ending to the Becky vs Charlotte match confused me - Ric Flair throws his jacket over Becky Head yet the Referee does not disqualify Charlotte for outside interference (which it was) nor did they take the more interesting route and say that Ric Flair throwing his jacket into the ring was "Accidently" viewed as a manager throwing the towel into the win thus Becky was awarded the match and the title much to the Flair family dismay. I mean I get Charlotte had to have the title for Sasha return but the ending just made no sense and ruined a decent Divas Championship match :(

+AMVdarkangel As soon as he threw his jacket I was thinking the same thing about throwing in the towel. Could have been pretty entertaining. And there is a rule they sometimes choose to use where, if the champion causes a DQ, the contender can use their discretion to restart/continue the match. So you could argue that the interference wasn't significant enough (i.e. no injury/attack) for the ref to decide it worth terminating the match. If you need an excuse to maintain kayfabe, there you go.

+Tom Cadogan what you said about the DQ being not serious enough is the reason I like. Take a cheater champion, and the ref may be more lenient on cheating so the champ can't just DQ themselves and hold the belt. That's how I justify it

I don't get the Reigns thing. They see the crowd not accepting him. They take him out of the match because they didn't feel he could go the whole way. They have him go out third because they didn't want the last shot of the Rumble to be the fans cheering Reigns being eliminated. So WWE knows he isn't over...so why are they so insistent on pushing him to the top? Just pick someone else...you know those wrestlers that are over with the crowds, that can wrestle a hour long match, that get cheered when they come out and have boos when they are eliminated

They should've just had roman sit in the corner the whole time. No one actually cares what u do in the rumble. Cm punk sat in the corner during the whole 2014 rumble, and everyone still wanted him to win. Also most rumble winners enter towards the end, when they have to do basically nothing.

I kind of like this a sober and drunk version of what just happened. when you're drunk and you're filming after it just happened you can still be excited and crazy while drunk so it's very entertaining. this sober what just happened does give us the nitty gritty part and more sarcasm. I really think that if the "authority" was off TV things would be a lot better, it would give a lot more excitement. I mean at least run with Sheamus as your monster heel instead of the McMahon's and Hunter. I don't see them changing that formula anytime soon and thats a real shame.

+JetsDuck It's not the best thing in the world. But I'd rather have Triple H as the champion right now than Roman Reigns. Vince is just ruining his character by throwing him into the main event last year and for having him leave a quarter of this year's RR match. Reigns has to stay in the fight the entire time and continuously earn his spot as a main eventer or else no one will ever take him seriously.

I liked the Ric Flair kiss thing. It WAS gross. And uncomfortable. And THAT was heel heat. Becky is consistently acting for of feminist when in character, calling the Miz sexist and stuff. It felt like an insult, and seeing Becky dropkick him was one of the AMAZING moments that can ONLY happen in women's wrestling! Just like when Brie baseball slid HHH at Summerslam. Only a woman could get that kind of moment where they finally stick it to the oppressive male ringer that keeps screwing them over. Yes it was very weird and uncomfortable, and JBL pretending it funny was STUPID commentary (why not pull the whole "Flair is the dirtiest player in the game, and he will do anything to give his daughter the edge. It was a good way to psych out Becky without risking a disqualification. It was strategy Maggle), but I think it was a defining heel moment for the Flairs.

From what I heard (and take this with a grain of salt because I got this from a clickbait site), they took Reigns backstage because they had to tell him about a last-second change to the end of the match. Supposedly it was originally booked for Reigns and Triple H to be the last two (with HHH still winning), but when Reigns got such a bad reception coming out, that's when they decided to make Ambrose the last man eliminated to try and help get HHH over as a heel.

Has it really been a year?

I'm hoping Reigns wins at Wrestlemania just to tick off the Triple H fanboys (though I would prefer Ambrose). Their hate of Reigns blinds them to how "change the channel" annoying the Authority has become. The guy that runs NXT isn't the same as his washed-up character on TV. Also, Brian Alvarez made a great point on JR's podcast about how basically Kevin Owens came off as a bigger face for limping to the ring for the Rumble than Roman who could just walked right back into the ring but walked back to the back and rested for 40 minutes.

WWE changed the ending of the match once Reigns came out to boos. The original idea was for the final two to be Reigns vs Triple H with Trips winning, but once they saw how Reigns was booed they didnt want Trips to get cheered at the end so they took Reigns out early and explained the new finish in the back and so when he returned he went out 3rd last leaving Ambrose, who the fans would cheer vs Triple H who was still gunna win, but would be booed for eliminating Ambrose.
