I'm playing poker for 9 years. In this time, I read a ton of poker books, went through a couple of RYE course, etc. But the one that really elevated my game to become a winning amateur was Jonathan Little in his COMPLETELY FREE videos, his explanations made me understand the game

I think the starting event is fun because since we are starting earlier this year and offering a free roll to main event winners the tournament will get a good mix of beginners who tend to be fans of the main event and main event winners as well as the most famous and reputable names in poker. Plus, pros and amateurs alike can get an easy free roll into the main event creating a dynamic that encourages players to show up day one and stay through the majn event

For the double board bomb pot tournament, structure sheet says bomb pot will only occur on first hands of game change.

The opening WSOP event discussion was odd lol. Since Moneymaker in 2003 that's 21 runners right there. And at least 10-15 prior that are still alive. What's the talk about only 20 being alive?

Berky doesn’t “go after” anyone. Berky is simply not afraid to call out false information or bad advice when he sees it. He never has any intention to ruin someone. He blatantly said he has no problems with Johnathan. Coaches hate Berky because he likes to push back on the “You can do it!” marketing tactics that poker coaches use.

thats just not accurate he has targeted JL multiple times. In the past it was over something stupid like telling people they could be winning players

How about going through the entire WSOP and NOT doing any re-buys for a change so we can see where all this skill is coming from?

The problem with the GTO vs. exploit prop bet is that the GTO player doesn't have to play GTO at all times. See, for example, Daniel Negreanu. So it doesn't really "prove" anything in any case.

DN played for like 25 years before solvers were a thing. Meanwhile Landon cuddles up in bed with his computer with solves running. He'll 4 bet an 80 year old with a suited ace wheel bc the precious machine tells him to and then be shocked when the 80 year old has aces.

I do believe it's possible to be successful in the poker sphere and not be GTO based. I've never touched a sovler and the people I play with all tell me I'm a pretty decent player. now I wouldn't hold a candle do any actual pro but I've also have not even been playing a year and I might play once a month if that.

Thirty seven Main Event winners are still alive. Only eleven have died. Two are persona non grata (Ferguson and Hamilton).

There has to be way more than 21 still alive. Go back to 2000, that’s 24 years, has anyone died? I don’t think so, plus all the players before that. Chan, Phil, Seed, etc. What am I missing here?

Indeed. There are 37 still alive. Eleven have died. Two probably have no chance of showing up (Chris Ferguson and Russ Hamilton).
