1/2, 2/5 cash and $100 daily tournaments are majority filled with non-thinking players. Tough to be a winning player without bluffing. And it's tough to bluff people who aren't thinking players. I tried applying strategies I saw high profile players use on TV and lost miserably my first year grinding low stakes. Some strategies discussed here are valid and translate to lower stakes but overall I generally agree with the "that wouldn't work in my home game" crowd.

Okay, I totally agree that winning at low stakes is possible with all the skills that you guys talk about? But here's a question. Cash games in LA at most of the casino's at low stakes. Like real low stakes. 40-60 or the 80-120 no-limit buy-ins you basically have 40 big blinds to play with. How do you adjust to those type of low stakes? I can't find any opening charts for cash games when you are 40 big blinds deep. Anyone is welcome to the answer this obviously. I assume Daniel is way to busy for shit like this.

I personally think those games are unbeatable due to high rake and short stacks. If everyone is nursing a short stack dont play. If there's players with stacks and people r social then that's a good time to play imo.

Disappointed that there was no discussion on this as well. Personally, I think this is the tip of the iceberg. I've always been a small stakes player on GG but since the beginning of 2023 I've only played micros. Too many unbelievable hands.

Then we aren't going to hear anything more about this because it was exposed by players, not GG. Most wouldn't make the effort to compile the hand histories that these guys did. And apparently there were others that had suspiciously high win rates as well and we haven't heard anything from GG about that. And GG made it harder for players to spot cheaters by blocking other player's stats in Pokercraft. If guys like Moneytaker weren't so greedy he could have made a fortune.

Daniel was among a handful of poker players that made a fortune during the poker boom not from playing poker but from his sponsorship deals and other poker business deals. Otherwise there is a high probability Daniel would have gone broke playing cash games and tournaments over the past decade.

@@cjv3416 I think if you average out Daniel's last 6 years in tournaments, he made about 100k per year. Daniel does not give out his cash game results, but he is known to lose a lot. For example, in the history of High Stakes Poker show, Daniel is the biggest loser (I think over 2 million). Daniel also lost over 1 million to Doug Polk playing heads up. Many years back he lost over 1 million on the golf course. So yes I think Daniel would have gone broke but Daniel is very rich from his business dealings with PokerStars and not from poker playing.

Sad that Perry had Pancreas cancer, it's a bitch of a cancer to fight. I've been fighting it for 3 years now. Got down to WSOP in 2023 to play & to say hi to Daniel. Had three weeks to play before starting treatments again for Stage 4 Pancreas cancer now in my lungs. Need to see if healthy enough & if Doctor will let me take a 4 week break in treatments so I can play seniors & main again this year. Everyone is special as not sure how many left in me. Hope to see you guys in Vegas & Adam in Seniors Regards, Cdn_golfer
