Vince had a thing about sickness, he saw it as a weakness. He didn't want his wrestlers to be depicted alongside all those weak sick people in the hospital. The term local medical facility was therefore considered much more palatable.
No one's rehabbing Bischoff's image. Meltzer & Alvarez get so pissy when ANYONE contradicts their second-hand "journalism". At least Semp has a sense of balance on the story.

Ohhh yeah in case Dave forgot 1995 was also the year he was "reporting" making B.S up about Paul Wight being called Andrew the Giant son of Andre. Remind the little AEW FANBOY of that.

They didn't call him Andrew, but they absolutely called him Andre's son at the start. The Giant name was a reference to Andre and why the new guy went by that name.

@andisuge but they literally did try to push the Giant as Andre's son. Dave may have been wrong about the name, but not the whole story. He could have been right about the Andrew part but WCW just decided to go with The Giant.

@crummymonk4917 what about Shibata having his brain removed? What about Bulldog or Mable being the 3rd nWo guy. I was watching every wcw and wwe show in 1995 I was 13 and had time to watch everything. I know the Giant story with the "Andre Shirt" and all. Dave makes things up always has always will.

@andisuge I'm not saying he's perfect, just that you picked an odd example, when it turned out to be true. I also think "making up" is a strong statement.
