Mark Calaway is a living lesson of what a man is when he lives by his principles, being loyal, did things that maybe at the time were not good to do, but paid off at the end. A man that found God by the advice of his wife, a good woman and mother. A person that has scars, outside and in for a needed reason. All this I say just watching this from the outside. For all your entertainment given to us, sorry for all the miles of pain you walked for it, at the same time you knew they were worth it . I now enjoy your good health as it was mine. Thank You.

It's a sore spot for him. He wanted it to be his own thing, do more creatively with his character. But then they joined the Corporation and it went downhill. Too many guys involved, in the ring. It was just another road stop for the Austin vs Vince story. To him it almost felt like this cool idea he had and was looking forward to was high-jacked to put over a story that wasn't his and quite frankly, Austin vs Vince didn't need the Ministry to become intertwined in the first place. Also 1999 Taker was working hurt for most of it, which lead to him taking time off to heal up and then debuting the American Badass gimmick at Judgement Day 2000
The undertaker is the goat of goats . First time I ever watched wrestling I was 4 years old and my brother was watching royle rumble 94 and I lost my mind and fell in love with this man who felt like a superhero to me coming back when everyone was against him . Didnt take yokozuna belt that night but he took my heart to become a wrestling fan for life
I am hyped to watch this because The Undertaker is who I idolize.
these old timers need to keep sharing these stories because they’re not getting younger. Undertaker and Jim Cornett have a plethora of stories that ate important to the love of wrestling-they should never die

Being yourself after all those years of playing a character, speaking in front of a camera, it’s hard. Especially to be unapologetically yourself after all that time. As he gets more comfortable being himself in front of a camera, it’ll go away completely.

Their will NEVER be another Mark Calaway in this business. He truly is one of a kind. Which is why i personally feel he was made into the locker room leader he was and to some extent still is. I've been following his career since his first match with Bruiser Brody down in Texas. And as a fan of 40+yrs in this business and also doing some marketing for a local indy fed on the side. I can truly say i knew then that this guy was "extra special" seeing him at his size move in the ring. I think his basketball background heightened that greatly in terms of his agility. Anytime your playing an athletic sport that just sets the bar higher for you in this business. Whether your coming from basketball or football. I think he's looking great for someone close to 60. And i'm glad he's enjoying his retirement he truly deserves every single bit of it. I wouldn't want to see him back in the ring at this stage of his life. I think as Kevin Nash put it he's done everything there is to do in this business. And so it's time to spend the remaining years with his wife and family in terms of giving back to them. And i'm glad he's doing that now. He's left a huge impact and mark on this business and set a bar so very high. It will be difficult for someone else to ever come close to what he's accomplished. But being a bit selfish here i hope know one ever does because that should be reserved for Mark alone.
What an honor for Mark to return the favor and do an interview for you. You know you made it big when Taker does a job for you.
I can listen to Taker all day long without getting bored and this is the biggest compliment i can give him and knowing the fact that he didn't speak for 30+ years yet he is so well spoken is the most surprising thing about him, other than being dead and his run as Mark Calaway.

+@YankeeRedneck437, I love it, I am 50% of the way through, we finally understood why Taker takes the flag off the Mic, not because his hands are too big, but because Taker feels that it's not a good luck for the character (which makes sense). I love this interview. I’ve been a loyal fan since late 1999- the Undertaker has always been my favorite wrestlers of all since becoming a fan. Undertaker was interviewed so many times since the past several years after retiring. But, CVV asks the questions from a long term hardcore fan’s perspective on items that we always wondered about that others don’t normally ask. Major kudos to CVV for taking one for the long term fans, including the smaller details that nobody else would bring up to Mark.
As a fan in attendance at WM28 that kickout from the superkick to the pedigree was crazy.
Can't wait to watch this one!
Dude, you have such a Gene Okerlund vibe. The wrestling world needs you. Keep it up

CVV work ethic is impeccable! You’ve literally built an empire and interviewing the phenom is just the cherry on top of the wrestling sundae.
That HITC with Brock from 02 is the 🐐.
What a great interview from both sides! Love seeing this side of Taker! I can only imagine taking my daughter to the Undertaker's daughter's birthday party- I'd be marking out, "Can I stay and kick it with daddy Taker" 😂
It's so refreshing to see Undertaker do interviews like this. Younger me would have never imagined this especially after all the times he scared the hell out of me with his entrance. Glad to see he is doing well after retirement
What a beautiful chat! Was such a pleasure to listen to it and it felt like you 2 could have had topics for 2 more hours. Chris, you are amazing and I hope you will have Mark back down the line ❤
oh man... his Paul Bearer impression....my god thats money
One of the best episodes
I had no idea that I had been waiting for this for years until it was over
Top tier interview of all time & getting to know in depth of who The Undertaker was and having funny stories to tell I watched from beginning to end congrats on getting this interview 👏
This was absolutely fantastic. Thanks Chris! And Taker, of course.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Mark Calaway (The Undertaker) has from day 1, been my favorite wrestler of all time. In my eyes he is The GOAT. I will be 50 years old in August, the 12th to be exact. I would give anything on this earth to get the chance to meet him just one time. To sit and talk about the old days, would be a dream come true. Can't count how many WWE shows I been to, saw him wrestle but never got that chance to meet him. Like I said, I would give anything. Being the emotional person I am, I would probably cry like a big baby. There is 4 people that I would give anything to meet and Mark is number 1 on that list, then followed by WSM Eddie Hall, and two arm wrestlers Devon Larrat and Monster Michael Todd. Oops, it should be 5, I forgot one, WSM Brian Shaw. These 5 gentlemen saved my life, literally. I will not rest until I can shake all of these hands but especially Mark Calaway.

Chris, your and Six feet under are the only podcasts I watch. I see you in me cause it's just a major fan living his dream. My dream is to meet Mark. I'm just hoping he is still doing his one man show next time they come to New Orleans for Mania.
I’m so happy for your success, Chris! You’re a constant reminder that a good heart & unquestionable work ethic can take you to wherever you want to go in life every time I click a video.

Thank you so much!
When the gong hit at Mania, I was jumping up and down in my living room (it's been 4:30 AM at that time and I think I woke up my neighbors) but holy hell it was such an amazing moment. Mark has been my hero since I started watching, have his cross tattooed on my arm and he helped me through tough times in my life. Thanks for that, even though you don't know anything about it. Love you man. And Chris, amazing job! Such a great one on one!
Amazing interview taker is hilarious

If Taker was on AEW. VKM would have a st8ke, ❤️ attack. Probably bust several blood veins. Tk scared of C.M. Punk. He truly doesn't want that kind of smoke with VKM.

When Taker came out at WM41, 21 year old me was jumping around crying like I was 8 years old again. Truly the GOAT man.
Chris, your interview with The Undertaker was truly insightful! It’s fascinating to hear his thoughts on WrestleMania 40 and the potential heel turn for Cody. His perspective on Brock Lesnar and retirement adds so much depth to our understanding of the wrestling world. Thanks for sharing these moments with us!
This is going to make my day go by much faster and much better! Thank you for another amazing guest!
