    Try leaving one link open at each end, then interlace the links, then feed the end wires through, the two rows of links to close the loop. This would give the illusion of a seamless weave

    This is fascinating!! It's beautiful!. However.... why not solder the two ends together?? I'm a manly man and don't like the stone. I would prefer a plain, smooth weave. Why can't the ends be soldered together??? Please advise. Thanks for sharing. Ax PS: Did you mention that this was or is available as a kit??

    Sorry for the late reply, your comment kinda slipped through the cracks! You absolutely could solder it. This video is just showing how to do it without the need for a whole soldering setup.

    Adelia boop your only option would be to zip the ring together with wire as clean as possible, and maybe wear that "seam" in the inside.

    +Adelia boop Leave the first and last link out until you finish, then string them on the same wire alternating each end. So you put your wire through one from the top, then one from bottom and so on, it will create a seamless join. Be careful to keep the links aligned properly as you go. Hope that helps you out. :)

    jellybear89 the key to this ring is the correct size chain, so if you could find this chain in Stainless, then yeah, go for it!

    Is there a way to adapt this into a necklace instead of a bracelet? If so how much more wire would you think it would take to make an 18 inch length of woven chain at 8 chain length wide. How would you adapt a clasp.

  • @beaducation

    @beaducation

    6 жыл бұрын

    I would figure out how much it took per inch and then multiply that out to how long you want the necklace. From there you would have to wrap on a a clasp, maybe a bar sliding clasp.

  • @beaducation

    Hi Jeramie, You can undo some of the weave until you have a good tail, then twist the new wire onto it. Trim with a flush cutter, leaving a few twists, then hide the twist in the chain. But, to be honest it may just be easier to start over :) Have fun!

    i'm not understanding the preoxidized to oxidized part please help I want my ring to look like the oxidized one

  • @beaducation

    @beaducation

    7 жыл бұрын

    Hi April! Kris using Liver of Sulfur to oxidize the chain before she starts her project. Once she's done she then buffs off the patina they is on the surface of the design. This way the top surface of the design is bright and shiny, and the recessed areas are dark. It gives great contrast! Have a great day!
