    I know this may sound silly but my husband and I love this ring so much that I am going to make one for both of us as matching wedding bands. Still working on the snake ring lol but will catch up soon, I hope. I have bad arthritis in shoulders and 2 ruptured discs in neck so I have to stop a lot and take my time...The smaller the gauge the easier for me lol... ty soooo much, once again I have to say you are special with a beautiful gift. I just can't get enough of your work :)

    Tip: If you have made a mistake while wrapping or bending the wire and you unbend it and rebend it, you will be applying stresses to the metal. You can relieve those stresses by annealing it. Put the copper on the stove or basically any heat source that can bring the temperature of the copper to around 200 degrees centigrade and above. This will cause the copper to soften. You will find that the copper will be a lot easier to bend and fix. This can be done as many times as you want though there will be an oxide layer after heating. You can easily buff it off.

  • @joannbernal3239

    @joannbernal3239

    The delivery of the tutorial alone was an unexpected pleasure - using plain language spoken in a natural manner going through all the intricacies, slowing down at important processes. It would be practically impossible to not get results from following this video. And it is actually quite soothing to not have to be subjected to a 'Tuber's overblown and fake ego! Just a thought: you have a fair few followers now ... I bet a good number would benefit from branded products like tools and supplies. With all the wire wrapping in evidence, perhaps a good start might be a draw plate and tongs ... do excuse my forwardness - I am just typing out loud, and one of those peeps who have analytical skills in certain fields. I sincerely wish you all the very best in your endeavours, though I suspect you won't be needing any well-wishing!

    +dre fouree Thank you. Do you mean, use the feature of the knot on the front of the ring? If so, that sounds like a nice idea, and could certainly give a nice look, but would take some experimenting with the design.

    Hi I am thinking of creating this with white gold and use the 0.6mm wire to create four prongs to hold a single black diamond.

    You can. You just need to be able to account for the extra thickness.

    What do you do if the ends of the wire aren't straight anymore? I am now wrapping my base wire but it starts getting all wrinkly and not so nice. And also how do you get it so flat at the back? I've been trying, and the ring still fits, but it looks so bulky and big, I can't get is to lay flat against the back of the ring.

    +Cynthia Bernardy Your base wire does tend to go a bit out of shape while you're working, but then just keep smoothing them back out again with your fingers. The warmth of your hands helps with that as well. Regarding getting the knot to lie flat, I just keep working with it until I'm happy with how it sits. I'm not sure if you are using the same gauge wire as me, but if you are using just a slightly thicker wire that could also be why it seems a little more bulky :-)

    +CSLdesigns I have been using 0.6 and 0.2 mm wire. now I am giving it another shot and it already looks better. I guess It's just practice I guess. I am not yet with the ends so I hope they will look better as well. I could not make loops into the wire so I just bend it a little and tried securing it like that, it feels kind of secure but not as much as I would like It to.

    I am trying my hand at this ring and having some issues getting the knot to center. The weaving was easy enough, if time consuming. But I can't seem to get my knot to center like you do. Any tips? Thanks in advance

    Amber Day All I can really say is to keep working with it until it's just right. You can gently use some pliers to help, but be careful as it's very fine wire. I hope it works out for you :-)

    overall good tutorial; just hated the way the base wires were finished off. it would have been simpler to just loop the base wires on the end of the main design. Trying to hide the the small loops were so tedious that the main design shifted and did not look good in the end. keep up the good work!

    Also, be careful if you are going to anneal this enameled wire. There will be fumes the first time you burn it. Those fumes are from the enamel burning off. Do not worry, the fumes are harmless but nasty smelling.

    You can use a clear nail polish or even a clear setting epoxy.
