I think the only issue is that he was first phrasing it as “I don’t want you to get the tattoo there because then I would lose the competition” whereas he probably should have explained it as “because the skin is loose, the tattoo won’t look good on you or on anyone.”

If you want to control every single aspect of what you want, then go pay the hard cash for it. This being a free tattoo, you need to understand that you don’t necessarily have complete control of what you get. But yes, if you don’t understand you are entering a competition for tattooing and may need to meet a middle ground with an artist than go ahead and go pay $100-1k for your own damn tattoo. @@bryn1063 for this one in particular it’s the canvases unique situation with loose skin and an ambitious tattoo on a hard area, not because it’s sausage in particular. Someone had to get that canvas, and by giving it to Sausage who is a talented competitor they actually unintentionally did that guy a favour. There’s also the argument that these people going in to the competition to be canvases know what they are signing up for and have had these discrepancies explained in detail before they go in. If you want to have a perfect tattoo then it’s probably not the best idea to sign up to get a free one on a competition where artists are experimenting, competing and being pushed beyond their limits. For instance: there's no significant time crunch for the tattoos. Contestants of the show as well as canvases have admitted to this. The judges do a single walkthrough where they talk to people, and then do time call outs all at once, and then leave. They aren't actually on a timer though (at least not the short one they show on camera). And this fact is funny, because some of the absolute terrible tattoos had an out of "time crunch". But with this knowledge, you realize they did a terrible job without one, are just THAT bad at tattooing lol.

That was all about Chris being butt hurt because Kevin didn’t listen to him than the challenge. All judging should be blind. That way it’s fair. Of course they wouldn’t be able to skew the show for dramatic effect. I will say though, Ryan is the best champion in the history of the show. She could use any medium and be great at it.

I think they chose the longevity because it's a basic necessity for any "good" tattoo in the sense of properly grasping the basics. Kinda like one of the fundamentals that they don't test on, not like precision, values, layout/composition, so on. They do flip flop A LOT on which they take into account more heavily though so it's always a mystery which they choose as the more agregous wrong. Theres been tons if instances where people got chewed out for it "not being punched in" and that it would fade extremely quick though (note like the watercolor like challenges specifically where people struggle most often ). If something fades enough that a touch up is required ok that's understandable minor retouches aren't ever out of the question, but from what I could tell it would be an almost complete rework of the previous tattoo and you'd be essentially paying for the same one (quite possibly as much if not more) a second time to have it redone. I think that was the guys main thought process. I guess a good example is having someone do a 'ok' job on nails but they are solid and will last the weeks/month before a fill is needed vs a prettier but less solid job on nails that break within like 3 days of having them and you have to go back and get it and most likely the whole hand(s) fixed unless you want to risk more breakage in the future after that initial repair. (don't have specific nail knowledge so im going off rough estimates from what I remember about how long certain types should last)

You don't want to, you don't have time, they aren't acting appropriately, you don't think you can do what they want the way they want, any reason! Just the same as America's next Top Model. A model can turn down any gig she doesn't want to do,, so forcing her to do crazy shit is teaching them how to fail.

@@janeeyre1990 that is the shitty thing, the toxicity. I don’t want toxicity on my reality TV. The biggest reason why I love Face/Off, the special effects - makeup show, is because, with the exception of one single season where there were two really bitchy contestants, all the contestants do is help each other out when they can. They aren’t catty or snide in their confessionals, and if a contestant needs advice or help getting a mould out they’ll drop everything to lend a hand because they are artists that want to see another’s vision come to life. They don’t want to see another person not pull it off. Contestants want to win because they executed something the judges love, not because everyone was worse. I don’t want to see sabotage or vindictive contestants. I don’t want to see arrogance, either. I don’t know why anyone thought such personalities would be good TV because at the end of the day you’ll walk away thinking of them as a bad person. That doesn’t make me want them to win. I’m my opinion, the guy Sausage had was being kind of unfair. Yes it is going to be on your body, however he could’ve gone to a regular shop and paid for that tattoo. But instead he decide to go to a COMPETITION. Not saying the artist can do whatever the f they want but both the canvas as well as the artist have to enter this show with a different mindset and attitude since it is a show and more is at risk. Buddy didn’t have to go to ink master to get his tattoo, but he did anyways with no regard to the competition lmao

From what it sounded like I think the guys wanted Pon to be sent home so they tricked him into doing the pinup type one. However I will say Pon did deserve to be sent home over that tattoo. If I was that canvas I’d be livid to have that. It looks nothing like her grandmother and more like a failed child’s drawing of a family member.
